Daz, there is not a lot anyone can say which will help.

Macho had it about right. Enjoy what time you have together and though 'Doctors' may class it as 'terminal', that does not mean it is!!

You have to believe and your wife has to believe. There are people on this board who have and are going through similar things. Staying positive can take you a long, long way :TU:

Spud, all the best mate and hope you can deal with it as well as have you been.

Daz, I don't think we have ever met, but from someone who has been where you are at right now, all I can say is be strong for your lady, she will need you when the tough times arrive. God bless. Richie Davies.

Had my spat or two, or three, or more with Spud in the past..... but keep smiling and keep the banter up. Laughter is the best medicine - as you said now you know what your dealing with you can get the right treatment.... keep well.

Daz, thoughts and prayers..... keep strong and positive.... where there is life there is hope.

Spud has been struggling for the last 10 months with an undiagnosed medical problem, but he has now been told he has got Parkinsons Disease.
There are a lot of old time posters on here who I thought might want to pass on their best wishes and rather than muck around via PM if you want to pass on a message of support do it here.
He still reads this site but no longer posts.
He's dealing with it in the usual Spud manner with a fair dose of humour.
Like him or loathe him he's a character and I wouldn't wish ill health on anyone.
Please keep it sensible (within reason) or else we might have to get the thread removed !
Al the best Spud - I hear your right hand jab is working a treat.
Cheers for letting us know PC. He's had 2 great role models to show him how to live with Parkinsons in Freddie Roach and Ali (obviously not personally)

I always got on with Spud and posted on various sites with him and Lightsoot, like Doghouse, BoxingTalk and various others when Spud had had a barny with the site owners. He always kept the forum lively

All the best Spud you BIG wanker!!

Hello Boxrec,

I have to write something again - thank you for the messages of support both on here and the texts and emails I have received - some have genuinally made me a little emotional, then I got a grip of myself and some made me laugh - my service and boxing background says lets treat things seriously but also have a laugh too, Parkinsons is the sort of disease you simply have to meet head on.

I have had a giggle at some of the messages taking the p*ss especially that c*nt Rhino's - it fills me with dread of living in some ex servicemans rest home later in life and Rhino deliberately hiding my drugs so I get the shakes and him whiping his todger out thinking he is going to get some self gratification out of my misfortune

Before I go someone sent me a PM - I wont say who it is but he told me how to treat my condition and how to handle the drugs especially when I first start taking them which is in the next couple of days - thank you kind sir.

You wont hear from me after this - I am about to go into the busiest and exciting period of my life, as I am writing this just on my way to London to meet up with the boss to go to some press conference, havn't got a f*cking clue what thats about - and that **** at my corner shop wouldnt tell me.

Boxing is going through an exciting period at the moment - it needs our support though more than ever - we are boxing fans through and through and we will follow the sport regardless - however - it is up to us to keep spreading the word to the casual fans and Joe Public. The small hall shows as well as the big shows need you smelly ****s on here writing about them drumming up support and perhaps writing the odd controversial comments to gain attention for the matter in hand!!

Thank you again - some of you are not that bad after all - Rhino, Macho and Twenty Six you 3 are tw*ts!!

If anyone needs help you know where to find me!!!

NewportDaz ... read your PMs pal

Kind Regards

Spud

People live with ms,diabetes, Parkinson's & you wouldn't know .hopefully the severity of spuds condition is mild. It's a kick in the nuts but the ugly bar steward will cope no matter what & there are pluses like getting parking easy etc.
I'm sure & hope he will be fine, used to love winding him up & he hated me until he knew I was a piss taker with no malice.

Keep busy spudmeister :salut:

It was boss. Got back to the Hilton, sat next to the Cat watching Wayne wiping out Takaloo, with the Cat having a look on his face as if to see, 'ooh, that's brutal' Then Dennis Hobson standing on my foot while I was lay down like I was on a beach in Ibiza, me rearing up wondering who had done it and then having to hold my hands up as Dennis would have been justified in breaking my foot!!

Working for Doghouse so had our Press pass, but Spud got us in to the after fight party. Unfortunately I had downed my notepad after the swecond round and totally gone in the Cat's corner!! :bag: Had to get back to watch the re-run of the fight on Grandstand the next day (London to Chester) or I was toast. But had drunk so much i had to vomit on the central reservation of the dual carraigeway on the way home at 6AM....wonderful moments
