I've had the odd run in with Spud in the past, but have never wished the man ill, and would just like to pass him my best wishes, and hope he is keeping his (tiny) pecker up.

All the best to our tuberose friend. :TU:

Hello Forum,

It's been a long time!!

Thank all for the best wishes whether it be on here or the kind messages by text.

Yep, got Parkinsons, but the drugs I am taking are just starting to work, everyone I know have been incredibly supportive but my attitude is to tell the disease to f*ck off and quite simply move on for as long as I can.

I am no longer working for David Haye full time, I lived the dream for 3 years, but my personal circumstances mean I want to be at home rather than living out of a suitcase in London, I will always be grateful to David and a truly fantastic team around him. For the record that is as much as I will ever comment on David.

Some comments I want to make ...

Howard Foster is a fantastic Ref, I think he stopped the Groves/Froch fight early but I still think Froch would have won the fight in that round. Some of the comments on this and other forums about Howard are disgusting.

Carl Froch has been a fantastic servant to boxing and quite simply does not deserve the sh*t he is presently getting.

George Groves has proved his credentials and will now earn some decent dough out of the sport.

For me the saddest thing to happen in 2013 was the passing of Dean Powell, he was a fantastic person who always had time for me, when I wrote controversial things on here, he would ring me up to discuss things sometimes we would agree and other times he would tell me I was out of order - but he would always tell me to keep going.

Dean I know you are looking in, be at peace now, I will miss you

Also RIP Billy Smith, it only seems a short time ago I was giving Billy some sh*t when I whipped a show in Sunderland. He just gave me the eye and had a laugh with me.

Thanks again boxrec, I will be annoying the life out of you lot more and more than ever before!! :yay: :yay:

Kind Regards

Hello Boxrec,

Thank you for the kind words, but, I am not the one for sympathy thats not meant to be ungrateful but there's far too many people a lot worse off than me - as someone text me in this morning, I am going to kick Parkinsons right in the b*llocks, now I know what I have I can deal with it.

Thank f*ck I have boxing, at first when no one knew what was happening there was a bit of frustration but now people know, the humour is coming out - its the only way to deal with things like this, dont be shy tell people what you have and crack on, in some ways people have found it harder dealing with what I have than me myself.

Anyhow lets move on - I am luckier than a lot of people, I have a truly fantastic job and work with an amazing professional team at Hayemaker, and my wife and son know exactly how to deal with me and thats the same as ever!!!

Thank you again - and oh by the way - you are all w*nkers!!!!

Regards

Spud

I was really upset you were showing some kindness towards me, I had to come back to get back to the old days.

I have to confess whilst being away I had a chuckle or 2 at your posts.

I can safely say you are the biggest **** ever to be on these forums, I mean that in the nicest way!! :yay: :yay:

Some of the banter on the old boxingtalk forums, when khaosai's avatar was kryten, was brilliant. then we jumped ship to ukboxingpress, u had run in with maloney and fucked that up, so we all ended up here.

I blame susan neild - great rumour that she was terry dooley at the time. Bad old good old days.

I don't remember ever having a kryten avatar.

I might have had a Max Headroom one at one time?
