Tony Bellew
I saw your press conference interview with Stevenson and I quote "If you take away his left hand, what is he? He's just a really quick midget" cracked me up haha

Likes to talk a lot this bloke, still yet to see anything that backs up his talk.
Re: Tony Bellew
So even being from round that neck of the woods you're not really a fan? Not that you should purely be a fan because of that anyway by the way!banjo wrote:Likes to talk a lot this bloke, still yet to see anything that backs up his talk.

Re: Tony Bellew
Bellew is just highly strung, that`s all. This is a money business and if he causes some riples with his mouthing off, then it`s working as he has the title shot without really having beaten anyone of note.
It`s a tough call for him against the Adonis and for me his only chance it to get straight into him and put him on the back foot. No point trying to box at range and getting clipped. Stick it on him and make the guy work every second of the round. If he can do that, he might suprise a few people.
I can`t see it, but I will be rooting for him.

I wish he'd stop all this die in the ring & stretcher talk its off putting for many types & don't help the sport.
He featured on ringside with jamie carragher & mentioned waking up in hospital I found it squeamish .i hope he stops that talk

Re: Tony Bellew
I've seen him show a lot of guts (v Ovill 1) and also just be negative and safety first a few times. If he thinks he can knock them out he goes for it it, if he feels evenly matched he doesn't; he's not a gun slinger and will not engage Adonis who is a big hitter. I hope he really does seize the bull by the horns and throws some big shots early doors otherwise he'll get stopped by the ref and will argue he should have been able to continue though he didn't do a lot when the fight was on.

I might be old, but I'm still 6' 5" and know how to handle myself.

Re: Tony Bellew
His mouth probably helped get his first world title shot, but this one is all about being manoeuvred into a mandatory position. Looks like they'll be taking a similar route with Stephen Smith.forcefraser wrote:Bellew is just highly strung, that`s all.
