WBO European Heavyweight title

Post by SamWise72 »

I've just seen that Pala, Chisora's next opponent for the actual European title, defended his WBO European against Darnell Wilson. Who's American. Remind me again how the WBO is one of the big organisations now, and should be taken seriously?

Good point, but others are the same, check out some of the WBC's titles and who fights for them.

sounds like the WBO are getting like the masters titles doesnt matter where your from or who you are as long as you pay the sanctioning fee you are in the ring

WBC Silver title another example. No organisation seems immune to it.

The WBA is worse than the WBO these days I think.

The WBA has two world champions in most divisions and the WBC had a Russian and a Cuban fighting for it's United States title, Manuel Charr is currently the WBC Mediterranean, Baltic and CIS and Slovenian Boxing Bureau champion as well as International Silver champion, despite being a Lebanon born Syrian based in Germany. I'd say both of those are just as bad and in the WBA's case, worse than the WBO. I don't really get why people seem to think the WBO aren't one of the 'big' organisations.
