Froch vs Pink Salmon - Betting Odds

Post by whiskey »

I lumped on early with Paddy Power for double your money on a Froch stoppage, but want to put more on and the odds are sliding down and down and I can't get a good deal anywhere.

So any Groves fans want a bet ? or is there international bookies that are worth looking at.

Wouldn't go near an international bookie for this. Froch will be an even bigger price with them

The only 8/11 left is with Winner. Still think this is a good price. I don't see any other outcome.

That's good if you want to back Froch.

Im considering a Froch and Pacman both in rounds 4-6.

100 quid returns 3 grand.

What do you think?

Personally id leave it but it's up to you. Rios is a durable sod and whilst i can see him being stopped, I'd imagine it'd be late in the fight. With Froch-Groves I can see it being in the latter half of the fight if it happens aswell.

If I had to bet a double on round groups I would go Froch 4-6 and Pac 10-12 with hedge doubles involving all combos of Froch 4-6, Pac points, and Froch 7-9, and Manny 7-9 and risk the other outcomes.

Froch could take out Groves in the first three, but I think it's more likely Groves gets on his bike and is cautious in the early going, whereas I expect Froch to assert himself by round 4 and I don't see Groves surviving past nine at all.

I feel like Rios is going to be able to stand up to Manny's shots for a while.

I've just looked up the best odds for the Pac 10-12 Froch 4-6 double - it's 41/1 with a book called Betway. Seems like a great price.

Interesting thoughts. I fancy George to do ok for a couple rounds and really do think rounds 4-6 is where its decided.

Your right Rios is a tough SOB, I just have a feeling this occasion will be different, and Pac hits harder than anyone that Rios has faced (I think). I must admit I think Pac Rios could be fight of the year, if its not too one sided. I think im gonna go with my gut but stick to 20 quid as opposed to a ton!! I will however reserve the bet until tomorrow in case im persuaded otherwise.

Having £20 on Groves to win at 267/67 (more or less 4-1) and £10 on the KO at 119/10 with betfair. Just short of £200 if it comes off.

I put £10 on a Groves at 3 to 1, I don't think he'll be able to stop Froch but think he's a fair bit faster.

Just looked at an accumulator for all the 9 fights on the card (thought there was 10)

If you bet on all the favourites you get massive odds of 1.3/1

Hahaha just shows what the card is made of!

Prob Oscar. You have a good point, but the last time I think he fought somebody so open and game was Ricky Hatton and that was early finish. Now you have me thinking

I put £100 on Froch 1-6, Pacquiao 7-12, at 11/1 with Ladbrokes.

I'm confident Rios will survive the first 6. He is a tough a cookie, but eventually the ref will have seen enough. Just can't see Rios face withstanding the amount of punishment Pacquiao is going to be dishing out on Rios. Pacquiao will land a lot of his punches, Rios can only take so many before his face marks up and he starts to feel the damage.

I'm very confident of Pacquiao stoppage around the 9th or 10th round. Froch could be a mid rounds stoppage.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was an upset though. Groves and Rios aren't mugs, they are more than capable of doing it. Especially Groves, he has the style to give Froch problems.

That was nearly 5 years ago though, Hatton was badly weight drained and Pac was likely on allsorts at the time.

Look like decent bets to me if you want good odds. Groves and rios are both quality but the lack of experience will tell for both of them i think.
