Todorov actualy is featherweight. He fought among bantams at WCH Moscow and in Sidney, but was very young there. I put Carrion on second place. And of course Alexander Hristov must be for sure ahead of Bernard Taylor. Wilferedo GOmez also deservs higher position

I'll make my list when I get more time but for now I definitely would rank Wilfredo Gomez higher. He stopped all his opponents at the 1974 worlds and also beat Orlando Martinez at the 1974 Central american games.
Todorov boxed in this division from 1989-1992 so it's ok. He was a world champ and two-time european champ at this weight.
But what did Meldrick Taylor achieve at this weight?

Todorov and Hristov must´ve met a couple of times, ogii? What's the story on them? I don't imagine Todorov losing to Hristov.

Acttualy Todorov fought in national championships until Moscow'89 at 54, then since the beginning of 1990 he stared to fight in national championships at 57. Because he and Kirkor Kirkorov were on the same weight, but Kirkorov hardly dropped weight, Todorov used to go down in big competitions.
As i remember he and Hristov met only once at 1989 team championships. Todorov was during this time a solder and fought for Army's team CSKA, while Hristov fought for "Lokomotiv" (Plovdiv). Todorov won by two points!

what you meant standing?
Todorov is my all time favorite boxer:) And i remember very little from Khristov in the ring, because i was too young to watch him during his young years. But however in the Olympic final he looks well, but no one could give second gold to Bulgaria.

I meant how many times did Todorov and Kirkorov meet?

:o :o Hristov took a beating from McKinney. I think he was dropped in the first round and got another standing eight count. And he was given a gift 3-2 decision in the semis against future pro world champ Jorge Eliecer Julio (COL).

Meldrick Taylor was a golden gloves champion at bantam beating Floyd Favors on the way so is legitimate at this weight, but I take the point about Wilfredo, should be higher.

I know for sure for one fight, must recheck full stats of national championships, which i don't have at home.
Hristov really lost the final from Mckinney by 5:0 decission, but he knows that haven't chances to win, because of the scandal win over Korean earlier in the tournament, when his opponent boycotet in the ring for around an hour. And then the referee of the match was beaten:)))
I think that the referees/judges must have some scare by the audience and to think well before given some gift wins!

Why is 2004 Olympic silver medalist Worapoj Petchkoom of Thailand not on your list?

There are many olympic silver medallists who aren't on the list. But one who definitely should have a place is italian Marizio Stecca, 1984 olympic champion and 1983 World Cup champ, beating among others Hector Lopez, Sung Kil Moon and Yuri Alexandrov.

my thinking again----Petchkoom lost both his fights at the 2005 world cup and Stecca is hard to evaluate,as the the 1984 Olympics was not of the highest standard
