Just saw images of Groves and Booth hugging, seemingly very emotional. They have to get back together after that!!

Anyone think Booth would have made a difference in the corner?? Taking nothing away from Paddy, I thought he was exceptional throughout (from the snippets we saw).

its hard to tell paddy and groves did a great job but i think froch was coming on strong and would have stopped groves in that round or the next without the refs intervention. Maybe adam would have made a change around the 7th round to hit and run or something and protect the points lead but by the look of the judges (dubious) scorecards froch still may have ended up getting the nod if it had gone to points.

I think I agree. After the first 6 rounds (by my card anyway), Groves could have back footed his way comfortably to a decision.
Booth may have forced this approach.. guess we will never know

Its actually amazing how far apart groves and degale seem today, after a very close contest. I believe the reason for this is Groves can look in the mirror confident but humble and be honest with himself and make adjustments where required. He is a huge critic of himself which forces improvements all the time.

in fairness degale hasnt struggled yet (other than groves) he just plods a bit too much for my liking. Career wise he's moving up the ladder well he's not far off a world title shot.

yeah i said this the other night though based on degales last performance he would have given froch nightmares for 6 rounds. Groves gave froch hell for 6 rounds. But its a 12 round fight and groves started feeling it and im sure degale would have aswell. Are groves and degale that far apart? i dont think so, they'll clash again is degale wins a belt and groves v froch will happen again so the SMW just got really exciting.

Groves said there's no chance of a reconciliation with Booth.

"Ultimately, he was gutted for me as a friend that I had my dream unjustly taken away from me.

"But I've also had the best training camp possible with Paddy Fitzpatrick and the other guys I've worked with. Right now, I couldn't ask for anything better than what those guys give me.

"There's no way I would change what I had in the build-up to this fight.

"I've known Adam a long time. I respect him and I would like to remain friends with him, but our working relationship is over. It was an emotional night for us all and I think the camera just caught one of the first times I've seen him in 10 weeks.

"Yes, it was sad but we won't be working together."

Paddy Fitzpatrick was immense after that fight. We unfortunetly didnt get any insight into what his advice was in between rounds because Froch was in such trouble, sky stayed with his corner.

I just thought Paddy, post fight and pre fight was extremly humble and dignified. But definetly not defeatist. His answering and demeanur during the press conference was fantastic.

He keot everything positive and spoke sense. Not cocky or arrogant, just a mans man

GG can easily outbox Froch. Next time he will with ease.

He'd batter the horse head Degale with ease.

Amazing how using a childish insult makes it easy for people to dismiss an opinion.
Alternatively, Froch might not start so badly and not have to box the first five rounds in a daze
