He went 12 rounds with groves and was never really hurt, some say he should of won ! Where does he fit into the the British/World scene now ?

It's different though. Froch and Degale have completely different styles. Degale is a lot harder to tag than Froch is and also Degale and Groves fought 3 years ago now. Groves has probably improved since then whereas im not sure if Degale has or not.

Groves is FAR better than he was when he fought degale. Not sure can read loads into that. Judging purely on their performances this month, I'd say groves would beat degsle far easier second time around

Groves is an ever improving fighter.
I think he'd beat him but im not sure if he'd knock him out. You have to remember that Degale is very quick himself and not easy to tag when he's fighting smart.

Degale went 12 because Groves never tried to hurt him, he had a completely different game-plan. I also believe Groves has improved significantly since that fight whilst Degale hasn't.

That is true regarding him going in for the kill but we have to remember that Degale has much quicker hands and feet than Froch and is a lot more elusive. Negative even.

Degale can justifiably claim to have won the last two fights. He is a dangerous guy for Groves and one to avoid.

Be interesting to hear DeGale's thoughts on the stoppage and the fight itself.

Degale would be an even worse matchup for Froch than Groves was I think. A slick, fast, southpaw who by all accounts has a very sturdy chin. Going on gym reports, etc.

I agree - Groves got his tactics wrong in the fact he tried to slug

Degale could win on points v Froch if he was tactical all fight

I've not seen a poster so completely up the arse of a boxer since BNovelist and Cotto.

I'd still be intrigued in a Groves Degale rematch but I want to see Degale face better opposition (eg a fight with Bika). He can't f*ck about in his next fight IMO has to be a final eliminator at minimum.

I agree, while Degale has some things that are worst than Groves IMO - Power, punch output (although not necessarily stamina)... he does look more "solid" than Groves.
