What would be the outcome of a Froch-Groves rematch?

I agree; everyone got busted up in that fight, although Groves fans don't seem to have noticed that he came out looking a mess, and took a lot of hard shots in the last three in particular, and probably more in the first 6 than he's ever taken in any other fight, even though he was on top and it wasn't the Froch we're used to. I think both will be more cautious, but that it will still end up a slugfest in the later rounds.

Some people mark up bad & some are quite unbelievable like froch the man should look like a beach ball!!!
The first round froch was landing some good hard jabs & you could see groves felt them & he reddend up. Jim watt & his side kick was beyond a joke!! They were talking like the fight was done after 4 rds

Yup, you just have to look at George to see he was being hit hard, particularly in the last 2-3 rounds. People also forget that it was George, not Carl that was buzzed and wobbly at the end. Ok, the stoppage was crap but to dismiss what we saw and just criticise Froch and laud Groves is just pathetic, really.

Carl will want to do it again. He saw close & personal his opponent folding in front of him, what the crowd and TV audience couldn't. Whilst he understands Howard Foster's decision, he feels cheated of the grandstand finish after a torrid first half.

Groves will have high expectations on his shoulders in the rematch. Which I think he will handle to be honest as he took the big fight in his stride on Saturday and was very cool and composed. I was also impressed with his resilience and toughness. He just seemed to fatigue though.

Carl won't be lackadaisical next time. Holding court in his dressing room as celebs drop in the shake his hand. He will be on it properly, rather than going through the motions.

Groves shall know not to expend as much energy in the first half, and keep a little back for his legs in the second half.

I think it will be less gung ho and more tactical in the rematch. Very intriguing.

Froch will be more ready. He will know for sure he's in with a world class operator.

But Groves will also be thinking about how he can take the first half of the fight without expending as much energy.

Also, Carl will be a little older and George a little better...

They will need a good ref though. In boxing we sometimes see judges and refs try to compensate for a perceived controversy in the previous fight. We don't want a premature stoppage but we don't want a tragedy either.
