The press scores show just how bad the scoring was on this one even before the ref made a big error by jumping in and stopping the fight
my card is also on the site along with the 46 press scores and a press average score
for 2 judges to have this 4-4 in rounds is wrong

Who is Lyle Fitzsimmons. Please make sure he doesn't apply to be a judge. Or maybe being so out of sync might get him a job!!

I disagree. 2 judges scored the fight correctly aka just the way Eddie had asked them to.

Froch-Groves Scorecards need to be reviewed
Yes, the stoppage was a mistake by Foster but an honest one and something that can happen in boxing. Unfortunately we all just have to live with the fact that Foster had a split second to make a decision, thought Groves was in real trouble and jumped in. Whilst he will never say so in public, I am sure Foster wishes he would have let the fight go on a bit longer once he watches the replays back. He however doesn't have the luxury of replays and has had made an honest split second decision, which was probably the wrong call.
The real controversy that we can do something about is the absolutely shocking scoring by the two judges that had Groves one point up going into the ninth. If we discount the 1st round, where they were obliged to give 10-8 to Groves and the ninth which wasn't included in the scoring, these two judges had Carl winning the fight! I understand round by round scoring can produce odd looking scorecards when an outsider views the fight as a whole but this is ridiculous. Froch may well have won in the end but I doubt anyone in the arena thought Froch won more rounds than Groves between the 2nd and 8th.
The BBBofC have made a statement defending Howard Foster, which of course they had to do. They should however be obliged to review the scorecards of these two judges and if deemed appropriate, issue a suspension or ban for future title fight.
With Beltran getting robbed recently, British boxing has a bad reputation when it comes to scoring and this fight, despite being one of the best in recent years, may well have had similar controversy had it went to the cards.

Judges scoring has always interested me, but no one ever really goes into any depth
It would be interesting to see how each round was scored by the judges rather than the actual totals
The only time I have actually seen scorecards of a big fight is Khan v Peterson
