message to SKY interviewers

Post by Ezzard »

Please…after the fight emotions are running high…adrenaline rushing through the veins…do not allow a fighter to talk endlessly…you must command the microphone and interject…poor Froch (not the best talker) was allowed just go on and on and talk himself around in circles…

You are the guys trained in this. Help the boxers out…

Other than that…great job…

Frochs speech was like a magician pulling a never ending hankerchief out of his sleeve. I was desperate for it to stop.

Yeah very good point Ezzard, and very true.

Watch HBO to see how to conduct a short, sharp interview - though don't threaten to punch the boxer, like Larry Merchant, unless it's Floyd Mayweather.

Just needs someone with a little discipline in there. Give them plenty of air time but keep it moving.

To be fair I think as it was on box office and it was such an unsatisfying ending Ed Robinson let them both say their full piece. Was a bit long from Froch though I have to admit.

I think it's unfair a fighter has to talk straight after a fight when they are fatigued, close to exhaustion. I font think its suitable at all.

I think it’s a good thing when emotions are running high. But Carl was talking over and over and over about the same thing…

I understand….caught up in the moment etc… It’s the interviewer’s job to listen and make a decision…”okay, he’s repeating himself”…

this was why interviews in the ring straight after the fight was banned as well as rocky kelly telling the world he was fucked after a fight live on tv (sat afternoon i think ) ... we all have said some stupid things hyped up they just aren't broadcast to the nation like froch's
