I know it was a hard one because it is a RECENT picture of him. You guys are posting their old boxing pictures, so I apologize.
My dad didnt fight Miteff, but they trained with each other at Stillman's Gym in NYC. THey had a couple of times contracts to fight one another, but better opportunities came along. They were longtime friends.
Miteff still lives in Argentina, Speaks a Portugese dialect which is translated by his son who accompanies pretty much most of the time, especially out of the country.
Here Miteff was at a NY Ring 8 VBA meeting back in July 2012.

Travels mostly in wheel chair, but can stand while steadying himself. He recognizes American names and has decent memory. I introduced myself and he rose, grabbed my hand and nodded with a big smile. His son said he remembers my dad well. I was elated beyond words. He signed a picture for me and said kind words about my dad.
As you can see he still has a boxing stature with huge hands. I compare them with Foreman's and Norton size hands-huge and meaty.
