Very, very unlikely. Hero worshipped more likely. He will have as many lackeys as he can handle. Certainly won't go thirsty when he wants a cup of tea

You have been watching too many gangster films.

Always a knob-head wanting a scalp.

Fighters are usually a target for the average wanabee hard man.

Who agrees with me?
Mate of mine, didnt even reach journeyman level as a pro, good amateur and even represented England. He was very well respected inside when he went away for a stretch. He did 4 years.

Its not as if Herbie will be doing hard time with cat A nutters.

He might be a target though for some wannabe. Good luck to that wannabe though!

Are you joking?
:OhYes:

There's not many around would take a Herbie punch; I know a fellow who is almost 50 now but was a pro and he could fight well but didn't like to run or train properly. He was quite an handful and he boxed Hide and went about 90 seconds.

There's no one will get onto Hide in the nick, no one goes out of their way to wind 14 stone ex top pro boxers up.

Palooka. The thing is. Most boxers don't look for trouble and are easy going.

Herbie might be the exception to that but in the wrong jail he will have to toe the line.

I can understand where you are coming from and appreciate your view; I know a few ex boxers (and knew them when they boxed) - the thing is 9 out of 10 of them just liked to fight and it was a bonus that they were good at it. They'd not turn a fight down in the street and if someone gave them a 'bad look' they'd follow it up.

There are some proper nut cases in jail and there will be some on the landing who have a reputation for being hard who won't like Hide been on there; I can't see Hide being bothered one bit; Riddick Bowe said in an interview that Hide had hit him the hardest in his career and Hide had lots of bottle. One on one he'd do 999 out of a 1000 civilians no sweat. Jail isn't like the American gladiator school set up; most in there are not master criminals or ultra violent people; they are young men, out of work, no qualifications and living in run down areas who get stuck into drugs and start to thieve or peddle, no chance at all of anyone like that saying anything but 'Yes, Sir' to Herbie.

(When I was in nick Paul Sykes was in there - he was no where near as good as Hide and no one at all bothered him - rumour was he was on segregation for our protection :( )

Jesus what a joke. Hide a target? Too funny. You've watched too many chuck Norris / van Damme films. Prison is mostly full of drug addicts and bums. Very few genuine nutter types like Charles Bronson. No one will harass Hide a big, aggressive bastard who can fight.

Your post is laughable. Jeffrey Archer et al came through prison unscathed and you're worried about Hide? Jesus lol

What a lovely rose tinted sheltered life you must lead. You post barely deserved a response, Jeffrey Archer? An open prison and your usual jail are not the same. Trust me, badder people than Herbie have had a torrid time. All depends on the dynamics of the jail. Target/celeb or loved, Herbie will be watched.

Reggaereggae? You sure it's not really Nigel Kennedy/Tarquin?

Archer didn't simply go to an open prison and was fine. Archer though is the kind of person you could put anywhere and he would find a way to be fine.

From his Wiki...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Archer#Jail
...Archer was sent to Belmarsh Prison, a Category "A" prison, but was moved to Wayland Prison, a Category "C" prison in Norfolk, on 9 August 2001. Despite automatically qualifying as a category "D" prisoner given it was a first conviction and he did not pose serious risk of harm to the public, his status as such was suspended pending a police investigation into allegations about his Kurdish charity. He was then transferred to HM Prison North Sea Camp, an open prison, in October 2001. From there he was let out to work at the Theatre Royal in Lincoln, and allowed occasional home visits. Media reports claimed he had been abusing this privilege by attending lunches with friends, including former Education Secretary Gillian Shephard. In September 2002 he was transferred to a Category "B" prison, Lincoln, for a month, before returning to the Category "D" HM Prison Hollesley Bay in Suffolk...

Jesus, rose tinted? Pot calling kettle? You think jail is full of people harder than Herbie? Right.... Hundreds of them on every wing!

Hardly anyone gets hurt in prison; look at all those nonces, famous people like Pete Doherty.... Jaysus. Even US prisons are not that terrible, Paris Hilton, Mayweather, Robert Downey came it without a scratch.....

If he wants, Herbie will be ruling the wing within a week and making money. You are ridiculous, and clearly a big Chuck Norris fan

Reggae reggae. Hardly anyone gets hurt in prison?

If 1% get hurt and you are true percentage it's no consolation

Herbie may be fine and I hope so. A lot of people I know have been hurt and hurt others in prison.

But I guess it's different from place to place. Best thing is to not do crime.

I can't really make out what you're saying, but yes very few people get hurt in UK prisons - why?

1. The prisons are very ordered and no warden wants his nick to be pulled up
2. The possible legal situations that would incur from prisoners if they got hurt

Of course it kicks off, but mostly it's handbags at 10 paces and rarely is it more serious

I've been in and believe me, a "wannabe" hard man would not target Herbie! The only guys who would stand any chance with him are not wannabes and are generally ok.

I'd hate to go to prison. It's just the complete waste of your life. An enemy of mine, a guy who screwed me over for a few grand went to jail recently, a real flash prick with birds and a nice motor and a personal numberplate, made all his cash from fraud basically. He's in for about five years. I'd love for him to get raped or bashed but I know it's unlikely. The only comfort for me is that while he's in there I'll have girlfriends and holidays and parties, sit on beaches, go clubbing, play with my nieces and my nephew, go for walks in fields, have a pint in the boozer with my mates... I could go on. For all the lazy money he made, I wouldn't trade places with him for a second.

As for Herbie, I'm sure if he has any trouble in jail it will be most likely because he started it :D

Ok, if you say so. The amount of times I have visited friends and they have had wounds - cuts and smashed ribs ( and given out the same treatment others) is obviously not a world you have heard of.

But then again, some of them are quite heavy duty guys with a rep and secret income to protect while inside, but must go with their lifestyle choice. As another poster said, its a waste of a life!

One friend was in with an IRA suspect on remand, he saw him get such a battering despite his connections. The guards did not give damn, we are going back a few years, but when inside it can be tough.

He sells drugs to people who want to buy them, he's not burgling homes or mugging people; there is no way on earth that anyone goes near his bum and I'll put money on it. Hide will not be bullied or raped, I've been in prison and he will get through fine.

Hide will make more money inside than outside (with his career over); drugs are very expensive inside and he has proper muscle and reputation, no one will rip him off and lots will want to be his 'mate'.
