I said I was backing Tony and stated that I seemed to be the only guy thinking he could do it, as Adonis is someone I have watched far more than 90% of this forum who only saw him from the Dawson fight onwards.

And whilst he is crafty and powerful he is still massively overrated in my eyes.

He can dish it out but not so great at taking it back.

Ive watched him from awhile back aswell. The early Stevenson is not the same guy he is now. If you watch him from the Don George fight onwards, his style has changed a fair bit since being at the kronk.

[quote="The_Don1"]No surprise that the warrior chose a lucrative re-match against a shop worn Kessler in favour of Stevenson, I though Stevenson was a beast the first time I saw him years ago and I knew at the time that Froch wanted no part of him. Got to hand it to Eddie Hearn, he knew what was good for them both.[/quote

Had nothing to do with ducking him. At the time he was mandatory Carl had just beat Yusaf Mack and had to take "a name" Kessler was a big name, a unification, and a chance to get back his 1st loss. Stevenson was nobody at the time. He was little money for what many thought was a routine defence. People would of accused Froch of ducking Kessler had he took that fight and would have been correct

Beating Bellew doesn't make Stevenson a top level fighter. Froch stops him. I don't think Stevenson can hold a shot and he would get hit by Froch.
