WBO European title?

Post by handsofstone »

Whats the story with this title?

Buglioni,s win over Hovarth was a scheduled 10 rounder as was Walsh/Harrison if i remember right

Why is Ormonds fight with Mathews bout a 12 rounder?

Does it just depend on whose fighting what the alloted time will be :?? :shame:

Can be 10 or 12 I think, depends on the promoters decision. Plenty of other titles are like that.

WBO European is the new WBU World title. You don't even have to be European to contest it.

It gets your world ranking up so can't blame promoters for using it Buglioni is top 15 then moves to top 10 with a defence.

Its just a con to get the governing body another sanctioning fee. How do the boxers deserve to be top 15 by continually beating hand picked poor opponents?
