Post by ajwesty13 »

The rumour mill is turning and sources are coming from the MW camp they have agreed to the fight for the 3rd of May....

I know its been a thread about khan v MW lately but i really think khan has a chance as long as he can keep his chin out of the way ... my head says MW late KO my heart says Khan points close

Khan could do with a fight before this IMO, he has been too inactive to be jumping straight in with Floyd, his last performance was not good and he needs to fight a few mediocre people first to adapt to his new trainers style that he has adopted.

Watching Khan struggle against another lesser fighter will not sell this fight.

How easy/difficult would any of you expect it to be to get tickets for this? (Assuming it happens of course)

I don't get when people say Khan has a large fanbase. Does he actually? How come he couldn't come close to selling out his 'King Khan' return to the UK?

Anyway, fun fight for the first few stanzas! Will be interesting to see someone in there actually faster than Floyd.

Just because they didn't show up for that event, doesn't mean Khan's fanbase is lost. He has a massive amount of fans within the Asian community and plenty in the others.

Khan is a big name due to the Olympics but I don't think he carries a boxing fan base like anything like Hatton or even Calzaghe at the lower end

Yeah he doesn't. Will be interesting to see him face someone that quick though.

Don't agree with narrative that's emerging that Khan is rubbish e.g. the assumption Brook would beat him.

I'd imagine that Khan will have a couple of behind doors 10 rounders to sharpen him right up; he certainly has real speed and early power to trouble Floyd and it'll be a good bout; I think Mayweather will catch him clean a few times on the trot though and wobble him bad and pour it on. Floyd looked very strong v Canelo, any idea what weight they will be boxing at?

In 'the gents' cubicle and khan still wouldnt land a clean punch although hatton would have done better! Lol

Has this fight been announced yet? It must be the worst kept secret in Boxing.

Mayweather needs a KO to appeal to the know-nothings that say he is boring. He will get it against Khan because his timing is second to none and Khan's jaw is made of glass.

no not yet its just rumours for now... i heard that the reason why he chose Khan because he chinny and he is hoping for the KO to excite fans... god as im writing this i feel that khan is being treated like a sacrificial lamb... but i can see Khan surprising MW .... however MW wil probably get the KO late on like Ricky

Kind of gutted that it's not going to be over here. I would of loved to *attempted* to get a ticket for that one.
