Palooka I've watched the stoppage from several camera views & George was under immense pressure & when he tried fighting back he got sickens by that flush right & George faced the floor & if you watch it from the opposite side of foster George's right leg he takes a step to the right & his treading was all over the gaff! Then he got claimed by foster who is guilty of not letting froch finish him.even when he protested he fell down. Many complain because they understand they have been stopped. George may of stumbled & took a count & possibly survived but then he wasn't clever enough to protect him self under attack when hurt so he may not of took a count & got stopped soon after the intervention .

The sort of people that are a bit sad and post 1'000's of abusive posts in a single calendar month on little forums , because they are spotty little nerds with neither a wife or life ?

I don't think he will be overly concerned which side they are cheering as long as they buy a ticket or the PPV.

Nowt like a Carl Froch thread to get the blood boiling.

F*ck me I could go into a rant - the treatment and abuse of Carl Froch has annoyed me intensley, what the f*ck has he done wrong?? dont give me b*llocks of what he said in his interview afterwards because he was getting booed before that - stupid ****s!!

I also know George Groves through the Hayemaker Gym, got to be honest here didnt not like his approach at all in the build up to the fight although I understand why he was like it. Have to say the last time I spoke to him I was less than complimentry, but, I have to say he carried through everything he said he was going to do and for that he deserves the plaudits that come his way.

I have read through this thread and others and I have not seen one reasonable excuse why Froch was booed, and treated the way he has. I also think the line of interview questions immediately after the fight was tough. Froch had just been through the toughest fight of his career and won it, so he was bound to be emotional etc etc

I am going to be honest here, if I had any influence on Team Froch I would tell George Groves to f*ck the rematch up his arse until it suited Team Froch - all this b*llocks about Rematch or retire is sh*te .... Carl Froch is the WBA & IBF world champion he can do what the f*ck he wants, he has met his mandatory obligations, George Groves has had his chance and whether it was fair or not, he didnt take it.

Enough said.

He did take it, was well in front and had paggered Froch untill it was unfairly taken away. The only reason Froch wouldn't box Groves again is that he knows there is a very real danger of getting dropped and smacked about again. It's natural that he'd sooner box the great Chavez Jnr.

It doesn't matter really if there is a rematch; Groves can call for one and if it doesn't happen the implication will be that Froch didn't fancy it; Groves made fans that night and Froch lost some - it's unfair but that's the way the night went.

Groves will get another shot at a title inside 12 months as he puts bums on seats and is exciting.

The rematch will happen mate. It's all just talk and a great way to keep people talking about the fight. To make the most of the Groves/Froch rematch, it needs to be a summer stadium fight. With that in mind, they both have time for a fight before hand. I'd like to see Froch-Chavez Jnr and Groves vs Arthur Abraham or Robert Stieglitz. A fight each would be a good thing IMO.

What didn't you like about his approach? It was factual and to the point. And you did like him once, I saw you asking him for a photo when he was on the undercard of Sykes-Johannesson.

.
Are you speaking from a team Booth perspective there Spud? Was the problem that Groves think he knew best?
Well he obviously knew enough to give the champion a spanking but its a shame it couldn't be done whilst still under Booth.
Also the interview by Boxing News quoted on this thread was done well after the event.

What an amazing revelation - 05th March 2011 - just a couple of days after I was taken on full time with David Haye!! - you could have exposed me more with the amazng revelation the time I had a photo with George only this year!! :TU:

I thought the way George acted in the build up to the Froch fight was not conjusive to the way he is naturally, he was trying to be someone he wasnt if that makes sense. To be honest when you think you know someone and then you see them acting in a way I thought was childish and disrespectful, it makes you think he is a ****, just what people think of me sometimes/always on here!! :TU:

Mickey, yet again this is a circumstance where people have a right to their opinion, you have every right to state yours as I do with mine. I didnt like Georges antics in the build up to the fight, I didnt like a couple of interviews after the fight, and I dont like George Groves now, in fact he is number 1 on my dislike list :TU:

With all that said, I thought George did incredibly well in the Froch fight, and he has proved he has the credentials to be a top/world class fighter.

Carl Froch is playing a blinder here.

On Ringside he was bang on the money.

He feels a bit pissed off as he feels he hasn't had the respect he deserves after the fight so his attitude right now is 'sod you all I'll do the opposite of what you all want'.

Its human nature to react like that when you feel slighted.

When the dust settles he'll do the rematch, and when it happens I firmly believe he'll win again.

I say all this having become a massive Groves fan

I dont think he fancies his chances in a rematch, he was getting pasted and he knew it. The backlash he has recieved post fight is sure to have pissed him off and dented his ego. It presents him with the perfect excuse to get out of the rematch.

From the moment the ref waved it off Froch has gave out all the wrong signals about fighting Groves again. Now he's confirmed it (Boxing Scene article today), its not happening anytime soon. He's hoping for a rematch with Ward instead... talk about hypocrisy!

My interpretation: he's bottled it.

I think you can say many things about Froch and for what it's worth I think he' completely wrong to not sign up for a Groves rematch, but to talk about bottling it with that man is ridiculous. It's even more the case if he steps back in with Ward as that's still a tougher match than facing GG again.

Froch is going to dodge the rematch because he is too wary of Groves. He should avoid him because he might get badly hurt and no one wants to see that.

Groves by KO in rematch and Carl knows it.

Pure speculation on your part. If Froch avoids Groves it won't be through fear of being hurt, it will be a pragmatic decision based on the risk/reward ratio.

he has been hurt before, and you are being daft.

Top and bottom is, if he is prepared to face ward, Kessler, bute, etc, you HONESTLY think he would 'bottle' it against groves????

get with it mate, despite your obvious bad feeling towards froch, to say he would bottle it is pure nonsense

No other fighter claims 'Gladiator' status like Froch. Name me 1 fighter who hurt Froch the way Groves did. You can't!

Groves is younger and faster and hits HARD!

Carl no want dat!

Name 1 harder fight Froch has had. Just the one!
