I think Creed, the Count of MontiFisto, would be too fast and slick for a plodding Clubber Lang. Lang had POWERbut he needed to have someone in front of him to land. Creed would be to fleet a foot and outbox Lang to a late round TKO.

Apollo Creed vs Clubber Lang
Who would win a match between these 2 former heavyweight champs?

Re: Apollo Creed vs Clubber Lang
I take Creed by TKO in 7, but not after suffering some rough moments. Lang could hit and had a solid chin until he ran out of gas. Creed would move more than Balboa did in the second and third rounds of the rematch, which would prolong the fight and allow him to take less punishment. Creed showed he was vulnerable to the "southpaw jinx" however and I think Lang takes advantage of that in spots. Creed could hit the canvas maybe once but comes back to score a well-deserved TKO over an exhausted Lang midway through the bout.cybox wrote:Who would win a match between these 2 former heavyweight champs?

i agree u saw how when creed transfered rocky into a speedy boxer he was able to beat lang. creed had the perfect style to beat lang, speedy skilled boxers gave lang fits and lang was dead tired after 2 rounds

Styles make fights and Clubber is made for Creed. Which is why Rocky was just so darn good, he somehow found a way to unlock the puzzle on both of these formidable yet imagined opponents. How did he do it? Good screenwriters.
Which is what Vitali and Roy could use right now someone to write a better final chapter for their boxing careers.
