Barker will out box/work Sturm in this fight avoids a war , and gets the points in the bag for a safe majority decision, and then onto another money spinner with a top uk fighter - he deserves it - hope he doesn't have any close rounds as he's fighting in germany...

After that's done I reckon he will take on another champ hopefully !

Fingers crossed he will do it !

Pretty sure he's got to fight Geale in a rematch after this one.

Barker on points, Sturm is still good quality but he's a faded force.

Sturm has always been good but never anything special. He was terrified of GGG and he was lucky that the WBA protected him and his belt for so long.

I agree with that. Very flat footed and lacking in power though.

I think Barker, boxes well and wins on points. I reckon if he's feeling comfortable and fit he may try and step it up later (say around the 10th) in an attempt to force a stoppage.

Sturm via controversial decision - in reality a close but clear(ish) Barker win (115-113 / 116-113 something like that) but Sturm will get the decision.

This is Felix Sturm in Germany and he is due a bit of luck (should have possibly got the decision vs Murray, close fight with Geale and definately should have got the nod vs Soliman).

Good luck getting the rematch in London, Team Barker.

funny, though, how he looked to be the bigger puncher in the ring against Macklin?

Barker on points, as long as he is prepared for Sturm's tactic of only really working in the last minute of each round to steal them, then it should be reasonably comfortable for him.

True yeah if i recall correctly there was real snap in his punches and he nailed Macklin with some hellacious shots in the last couple of rounds and seemed came close to stopping him . Just took him ages to get started.

Pretty sure I remember Eddie on IFL saying there was no rematch cluase but they would fight Geale in UK. Would rather Geale get a decent win first still not a bad fighter.

Just want the fight with Murray next.

How many points ahead do you think Barker will have to be ahead going into the last to be safe ?
I think he has to stop him or he'll be in bother.

This fight has a rematch clause if he loses - not sure about if he wins..

When Eddie was criticised for getting Barker a defence in Germany, he replied that it was for a large amount of money (£1m ?) and there was a rematch clause if he lost.

Sounds a win / win to me.
