Id go with Parker, he is too slick and is a better boxer than big daddy. Browne is one tough mofo who can bang though.

I'd say Parker via a points decision.

Since Price has dropped his Commie title to move on to other things. Is it possible for a Parker Vs Browne commonwealth title fight?.
I know its been 120 years since a Aussie H/W held it, Has a Kiwi Heavy weight every held the title?.

ATM, Parker is not listed as contender, therefore No Go

Team Parker needs to get NZPBA's secretary Pat Leonard to submit recommendation that he be considered. However, whilst his record looks good, his opponents doesn't, therefore, at this stage it would most likely be a waste of time.
No harm in trying.

I reckon Parker will face Shane Cameron next year at some point. He'd have far too much for the limited Browne.

Big Daddy might be limited, but his punches are huge. And he seems to absorb anything that's thrown at him

I was quite surprised to see he's going over old ground and fighting Clarence Tillman again next week, especially considering Tillman has lost his last six.

Yep I watched their first fight. Browne won every round against Clarence so can't see the point in it. Never at any stage did he look like making it an early night so maybe chasing rounds.

Only thing missing from that website is any sort of rankings, or did I miss them? Seems an odd omission.

Commonwealth Title...? what a load of crock. Its a meaningless belt that has a lot of interest from fighters from Europe.
The comparison is like...when was the last time NZers competed in the Commonwealth games..?
Who knows and who cares.
Note: Kenny Reinsfield was blowing a big storm about Shane Cameron fighting for a Commonwealth belt, he won it then nothing happened after that.

That would be in 2010 - the last time there was a Commonwealth Games. And you'll see them this year as well. They've always competed.

What a strange post on a Joseph parker thread, When was the last time NZers competed in the Commonwealth games? Joseph Parker competed in the last one. He lost on a countback otherwise would of medalled

This thread has gone crazy, it must be all the christmas grog. Every current professional Commonwealth champion is from Europe.

Browne got a few people talking when he finally got it on with Richard Towers over here in the UK. Admittedly, Towers was not the second coming of Lennox Lewis or even Frank Bruno for that matter, but he's a seriously big, strong dude (from the legendary Ingle gym) who had home advantage and Browne basically chopped him up into little pieces. As a UK fan we think Browne is the right kind of man to see whether Price sinks or swims... I'd certainly like to see him again either against Price or even Del Chisora.

Don't know too much about Parker...but he seems to have plenty of people talking about him, interested to know why.

Parker has nothing Browne needs, so therefore theres no reason to fight him at this point. I think by the end of 2014 we'll have a better idea of where Parker is at he has a fight with George Arias next apparently then after that potentially a fight with Brian Minto has been talked about depending on how he handles Arias I'd imagine. A Browne/Parker fight might make sense toward the end of the year if Browne picks up the Commonwealth Title might make for a good defence and battle of the Anzacs! Wins over Arias and Minto would give Parker a boost to position himself toward a Browne fight

Funny. I don't think I've ever heard a Brit refer to himself as European. They don't even use the same currency. I'll bet there aren't too many frenchmen who'd think of les anglais as fellow Europeans either. :)
