Scared. The beating taught him how tough boxing can be.
He will lose his next fight.

Re: Froch dismisses Groves rematch
Disgraceful Mr Froch.
George Groves is the best fight outthere if you don't honour your offer of the rematch you are a prick IMO.
I have been a fan of Froch but he is running scared and running his mouth I am disappointed by him this time.

Re: Froch dismisses Groves rematch
It ain't Froch's fault the ref stopped the fight. If he gets offered a fight with Ward or Chavez and takes it, that's his prerogative - it's his career after all.
Re: Froch dismisses Groves rematch
Getting really fed up of people saying it's not Froch's fault. Do any of you listen when he speaks?? Guy is out his head on something. I watched the fight for about the 30th time tonight.. People question motives.. Why when Froch got knocked down did Foster feel the need to walk Groves to the neutral corner before he started counting? I think Fosters performance needs reviewed by the board. Right through the fight he was consistent in favouring Froch. Very poor performance something needs done

It is his prerogative. And it ours to call him a dodging Worrier.keithmoonhangover wrote:It ain't Froch's fault the ref stopped the fight. If he gets offered a fight with Ward or Chavez and takes it, that's his prerogative - it's his career after all.
But, I think Groves hurts him bad next time, so no rematch.

Re: Froch dismisses Groves rematch
Groves has been a nightmare for Froch:
a) He wound him up a treat before the fight
b) He beat the living cr*p out him for most of the fight & people now knows Groves is the more talented of the two
c) Groves was on his way to victory-should not have been stopped.
d) The crowd booed Froch because of his sourness and unsporting nature after the fight
e) Froch, by deliberately avoiding Groves, will lose his 'warrior' reputation, because it looks like he is scared stiff of Groves. Which he is, by the sounds of it.
I love how he was desperate to get Kessler back in the ring, but not Groves, who did a proper demolition job on him.
Froch always talks about legacy and I agree, you have to look at things in the round, and in doing so, what do we see:
Froch lost 11.5 rounds against Taylor (fresh off two defeats to Pavlik), lost to Dirrell at home (he really did), lost to Kessler first time round, and got made to look like an amateur by Ward, and recently duffed up good and proper by Groves. But he did beat old man Johnson, career middeweight Abraham, 'rabbit in the head lights' Bute, and weight drained Mack. That is not the results of a massive international superstar.
The luckiest thing that ever happened to Froch, like Collins, was that he did not box Calzaghe.

Re: Froch dismisses Groves rematch
Froch's ego is 100% his fault. I'm surprised he's not saying he should be hall of fame ahead of Calzaghe!! He probably is in his own head.. I have went from admiring the guy to despising him and I hope whoever he fights next he get KO'd. Please be Golovkinkeithmoonhangover wrote:None of the above is Froch's fault.daviddee wrote:Getting really fed up of people saying it's not Froch's fault. Do any of you listen when he speaks?? Re: Froch dismisses Groves rematch
I preferred the bit when Groves knocked him clean out in round one. You watch the replay in slow mo, and you can see his eyes shut. I have to say fair play, that he woke up, recovered and carried on.SamWise72 wrote:He did fight Groves? And won? Re: Froch dismisses Groves rematch
Two fairly obvious observations. Froch would have stopped Groves had it gone on. It was a forgone conclusion. And at 36, the 36 year version of Calzaghe would have boxed his ears off for 12 rounds.

Re: Froch dismisses Groves rematch
froch might have been given the match by a ref who had an awful fight not just the stoppage but made a lot of erross that benefited froch... but what transpired you can say groves came out as the real winner...i liked froch before this fight but his attitude, his bitterness, his ego and narrow-mindedness to even say yeah that was a bad stoppage... instead he drones on that the ref is there so fighters dont get hurt and it was a good stoppage... well the ref wasnt doing a sh1te job when froch face was gettin pummeled for a massive majority of the fight... what disappoints me about the situation is i dont like Froch's double standards he wanted to avenge his loses which he actually lost to ward and kessler... but he wont bequeath that honour over a fight that was controversial.. if carls wants to be remember as a warrior then this will always be a blot..SamWise72 wrote:He did fight Groves?
