Two fairly obvious observations. Froch would have stopped Groves had it gone on. It was a forgone conclusion. And at 36, the 36 year version of Calzaghe would have boxed his ears off for 12 rounds.

George didnt looked buzzed for what i saw ... its boxing match he will get hit looked more like a punch on the nose that caused those two shinners and ps where did i say that froch didnt land a glove on him?

I can understand your point and in my little disappoint of not getting a rematch i can tend to act a bit narrowminded but i do respect your opinion keith mate ... :)

He can fight who he wants but in my eyes will be forever remembered as the guy that bottled a rematch with George Groves. I wont be paying to watch his next fight thats for sure.

Evidently Froch said it in the post fight interview merely to attempt to stop the crowd's chorus of boos.

As soon as he opened his mouth post fight and started spewing manure I knew he was going to bottle it, every interview he has given since has stregnthened that opinion.

Like many I have lost a huge amount of respect for him. He owes Groves a rematch, most fighters with real pride would grant it in a heartbeat.... but not Carl 'The Worrier' Froch.

Lets sit back and listen to him continue to harp on about the Ward rematch, a fight that if it happens he will do well to land a glove on his oponent, never mind win a round!

The Froch Vs Groves fight, along with Bradley Vs Provodnikov was the best fight I've seen this year. Boxing is a very tough sport, getting punched in the head for a living is tough way to make a living.

If Froch has the chance to fight Jr in the US he should take it. Much lower risk, high reward. As a boxing fan ofcourse I want to see the Groves re-match, but I'm not getting punched in the face for others' entertainment. I've never ever put a pair of gloves on let alone stepped in a ring, so I would never question anyone's heart or bottle and it's ridiculous to question Froch's.

And on the subject of Bradley Vs Provodnikov - no-one's calling Bradley a pussy or such like for not re-matching.He took a terrible beating and escaped with a controversial win. What's the difference?

it'a all just talk from Froch at the moment, no fights are booked. I'm still convinced there will be a rematch.

after the way the "fans" have turned on carl [particularly in light of all the great nights hes given us] I cant blame him for looking after number 1. You only have to read some of the ridiculous posts about this fight to realise boxing is a fickle, cruel sport, so why not try and get as much out of it as u can for u and your family and fornicate the "fans" that judge and criticise through half pissed eyes from the comfort of their living room. The turncoats will still fall over themselves to buy him a drink and pat him on the back when hes retired anyway, such is their fickle nature.

It's infuriating, people are acting like Carl didn't land a shot before the ninth, as early as the sixth, Groves had a swelling coming up under his left eye.

Just because Watt chose to just talk over everything Carl did in the first 7 rounds, doesn't mean the punches didn't land.
