Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
Curtis Sh*thouse ... f*ck me before I get a knock on my f*cking door only joking .... this time!!!
I think Mr Woodhouse has done well for himself on the domestic scene. For the record it was wrong of me to come on in a different name to slate him ... I only wish at the time I could have done it under my own name but "Parsons Cross" being the squealer he is, was right to grass on me
to expose my outrageous sin!!!
Curtis Woodhouse has been in some god damn tough, entertaining domestic fights, only to come up short at a vital time ... to be honest and I will no doubt get myself into yet another ruck ... I think some of his losses are down to getting the fight plan totally wrong ... Team Woodhouse seem intent on pleasing the crowd by putting on entertaining slug fests rather than winning the fight, lets face it Woodhouse has never been in a dull fight.
Darren Hamilton is another tough fight, I hope Team Woodhouse go into this fight with their main priority on winning and if that means stinking the place out with a dull boring fight but getting the result then its job done!!

Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
its all love spud, and I think your right, 9/10 ive always said im just going to go to war and whatever happens happens, that's nothing to do with my team they always set out a game plan and it normally involves boxing and using my skills but ive struggled to stick to a game plan when ive been tagged and just think fook it lets av it, but that's done me no favours and ive ended up losing fights I should have won, ive learned the hard way that my way is not the right way so in my last fight for the 1st time I stuck to my game plan the whole fight, even when I got cut badly (6 stitches) in round two, because ive had no amateur experience ive had to learn on the job but I now feel after all my setbacks im ready to deliver, the derry Matthews fight was at the right time but at the wrong weight, this one ill be fighting at my best weight and like I said I believe the timing is right for me, hope your well spud x

Thank you for the response. A very honest one at that.curtis wood wrote:its all love spud, and I think your right, 9/10 ive always said im just going to go to war and whatever happens happens, that's nothing to do with my team they always set out a game plan and it normally involves boxing and using my skills but ive struggled to stick to a game plan when ive been tagged and just think fook it lets av it, but that's done me no favours and ive ended up losing fights I should have won, ive learned the hard way that my way is not the right way so in my last fight for the 1st time I stuck to my game plan the whole fight, even when I got cut badly (6 stitches) in round two, because ive had no amateur experience ive had to learn on the job but I now feel after all my setbacks im ready to deliver, the derry Matthews fight was at the right time but at the wrong weight, this one ill be fighting at my best weight and like I said I believe the timing is right for me, hope your well spud x
You are clearly an intelligent chap .... one thing you absolutely have to do is be able to walk away from British title challenges, knowing you have done absolutely everything to win the fight. If you walk away from the Hamilton fight with regrets you will only have one person to slate and thats you!!!
Not just saying this, that Hamilton fight is winnable absolutely winnable - I actually want you to win this one so I can slate Spencer Fearon!!!
With regards me and thanks for asking - having a sh*t day today with the parkies - its took me f*cking ages to even write this post - then other days its as if f*ck all is wrong - but I feel blessed and know I am a lot better off than some!! :TU
Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
Would be a magical moment for Curtis if he won, but the winner faces Chris Jenkins and that could be in Wales and that sees the end of his or Hamilton's reign anyway.
Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
Good luck to Curtis, two cinderella stories coming together.
To be honest, and Curtis is being honest, Curtis doesn't deserve this shot so soon after a heavy defeat (and fairly soon after "losing" - officially at least his English title). If this was a non boxrec regular we would be very critical of the promoter.
However, his Gavin fight showed that he does belong in the domestic mix - it would be a bit like (and I am not comparing them) Peter McDonagh getting a British title fight when he was in his best run.... probably not deserving but you know he is not going to look an idiot in there.... and you never know. Hamilton is definitely one of the most improved boxers of the year, whilst Ashley Theophane is the dictionary definition of inconsistent, he recently gave a fringe world class fighter one or two problems. Everytime Hamilton has defended the title he has been the underdog (not sure if he was the betting underdog vs Williams, but I did tip Williams to win).
However, he is no Gavin...... irrespective of whether Gavin was having a bad night in the office vs Curtis.
Got to favour Hamilton, but it will be a good fight - even in Curtis' losing efforts the fights have always been good. I wish him all the best and this is possibly his best chance to achieve his dream - right weight this time etc.

Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
Looked good and strong yesterday in sparring curtis .
Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
Jenkins isn't eligible for the British yet and he dropped rounds to Mark McKray last week. We haven't seen how he will go over the longer distance, or how his chin is and he hasn't been past area level yet. No guarantee it would be in Wales either if Curtis wins, Campbell is being promoted heavily in Hull, Coyle tops the bill and if another title fight is needed, Curtis provides the perfect option with him being a local boy. This one could well come down to strength and fitness. Hamilton isn't anything special as a boxer, but he's unbelievably strong and keeps coming all night, against a huge light welter like Curtis, that might not be enough to get the win.WelshJack wrote:Would be a magical moment for Curtis if he won, but the winner faces Chris Jenkins and that could be in Wales and that sees the end of his or Hamilton's reign anyway.

Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
thanks for the responses fellas, no doubt about it people higher in the rankings deserve a shot before me (im ranked 10) it helps my case that the fight is in hull and its a voluntary from the champ so he can pick who ever he wants and his team picked me, probably because they think he will look great against me, that's all good, I know the score but I intend to rip up the script, all I will promise is ill train and fight my heart out and hopefully that will see me through on the night, this fight means everything to me and I intend on making my dream a reality, sorry for anybody who doesn't think I deserve my shot but over the years ive had my fair share of bad luck and had close decisions go against me and even fights ive easy won go against me, this time ive got a bit of luck getting my shot, please don't begrudge me that
Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
There's people that get world title shots who are less deserving than you are in this regard though. If you went purely on rankings and stuff then you dont deserve it but like you've said it's a voluntary defense so Hamilton can choose who he wants to fight. I think it will be a good fight anywaycurtis wood wrote:thanks for the responses fellas, no doubt about it people higher in the rankings deserve a shot before me (im ranked 10) it helps my case that the fight is in hull and its a voluntary from the champ so he can pick who ever he wants and his team picked me, probably because they think he will look great against me, that's all good, I know the score but I intend to rip up the script, all I will promise is ill train and fight my heart out and hopefully that will see me through on the night, this fight means everything to me and I intend on making my dream a reality, sorry for anybody who doesn't think I deserve my shot but over the years ive had my fair share of bad luck and had close decisions go against me and even fights ive easy won go against me, this time ive got a bit of luck getting my shot, please don't begrudge me that
Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
Ain't seen much of Hamilton but know he scored a stoppage over Pete mcdonagh which is impressive & he looks massive!!!
Think Curtis will be fine hopefully he ain't weakend out himself too much trying to make lightweight

Hamilton is a good fighter and awkward! (Looked like he has a very long reach against Anwar)
Good luck Curtis
Good luck Curtis
Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
I don't think he's outstanding just very strong & determined with an un orthodox style , he doesn't appear to be greatly skilled .& allway's the underdog now he's on top & borrowing Spencer's farms maybe he may of lost some edge being favourite ??
Re: Woodhouse Vs Hamilton..
I really like how Curtis comes across and how he is willing to box anyone; he is a breath of fresh air; I do think that Hamilton will be too much though but hope I'm wrong
