Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
For me, he spoils fights with all of his negative repeated comments and biased.
Who would you like to replace him with when he retires?

I actually think Haye would be very good - he talks very fluently, in a measured way and is incisivekeithmoonhangover wrote:I think Haye would do a very good job. *PREPARES HIMSELF FOR A LOAD OF ABUSE*

Re: Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
Sky need to do the same with boxing as they did with football, bring in a modern fresh ex fighter. Either that or a red button option
Re: Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
I think they should do same thing as they do with the football and let fans commentate on the 'red button'
Even just for a laugh they should give them free drink.

Me and Palooka could do the Froch-Groves rematch. All you'll hear is me saying "COME ON CARL!"Emmseegee wrote:I think they should do same thing as they do with the football and let fans commentate on the 'red button'

Re: Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
Haye is pretty good and very good speaker.
He was under the cosh with Froch vs Groves, on account of knowing both guys over many years and was very balanced throughout.

Re: Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
Some of my mates who aint got a clue about boxing would be funny as fu<k on that.
Body shots are 'Punches tae the belly'
a defensive fighter is 'a sh1te bag'
a guy without glittery shorts on 'has just been dragged out the pub'
I do agree that Haye would be good.

Haye would be good. He's quite articulate.
But ultimately anyone as Watt is an absolute joke.

Re: Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
Jim Watt can be quite insightful but maybe they should just go to him for a mid-round summary. A whole fight seen through his one-eye is too much
Re: Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
Should just mix it up more. Use everyone available, rather than just Watt.
Re: Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
Watt is a better than average analyst so I would look to shift him maybe rather than a complete offload. Paul Smith would be fine, though anybody who won't display a blatant bias would be an upgrade and infinitely easier listening.

Paul Smith's an option, there's Duke McKenzie and various other options. Variety is the spice of life and all that shit.ajwesty13 wrote:yeah i agree i do like jim thou... the trouble is atm if you havent got jim then you got mcrory that upsets meexpe wrote:Should just mix it up more. Re: Who Would You Replace Jim Watt With?
I'd like to see Johnny Nelson at the bouts and commentating, Jon Thaxton was good as well I've seen him before.
Thanks for the shout Keith but I blush and sweat awful whenever I'm in public under scrutiny, it's socially restrictive :(
