Great job by Eddie to bring the fight to Burns back garden.

Crawford is young, hungry and dangerous with good amateur pedigree. As a Scot I'm a massive fan of Rickster but have some concerns following his last two performances and recent jaw surgery. It's going to be tough for Burns. If he's on his game I fancy Rickster. If he has a repeat of recent performances, and has any doubts about his jaw, Crawford will win easily.

Anyone know when the tickets go on sale? Would make a great Xmas present to take my Dad and brothers.

It'll be interesting to see what the terms of the deal are if purse bids were canned.

Crawford must be crazy coming over here after what happened to his stablemate the last time.

Maybe they've agreed to ask for a totally neutral judge and referees?

Wasn't very impressed with Crawfords last fight vs Klimov.

It was pretty dull stuff from what I recall.

But I'd still fancy him to easily beat Burns based on recent form for both.

Hard fight for Ricky. But they all are at this level. I think Ricky can win this one.. Crawford is good but I think this will bring out the best in Ricky.. He will have to weather some storms but I'm going for Ricky on points in a close fight

I imagine though that Eddie has had to fork out to get Crawford to agree to come over here. It was gonna go to purse bids and I imagine he earns a decent amount fighting on HBO in the states.

And he'd earn even more with a shiny new belt under his arm, which is their aim.

Yeah but he could win the belt fighting in the states aswell. I doubt he's agreed to come over for peanuts when he's the mandatory challenger.

Clark has a British elimantor v Jon Kay's maybe eddie can bid for that.
Slowey v Martin lyndsay.
Brophy v Patrick mendy

A PPV with Burns headlining would probably do the lowest ever numbers.

Top Rank have seen how Burns has done in his last few fights, including against one of their own. They see this as an easy belt.

But he is just the mandatory challenger, Burns in the champion. There is no way they could try to swing PPV for this.

Hope I am wrong, but can only see one winner here.

Hope Beltran gets the shot at the winner (which will be Crawford).

I've given Hearn a lot of stick in the past, but massive credit to him for getting this one in Glasgow, must have cost a bit. If it's at the Hydro, they'll need a good undercard to sell out.

Wasnt Groves "Just" the mandatory challenger when he fought Froch though?

That would mean Sky putting on a good undercard ha.. Can't see Clark v Walsh as Walsh signed with Queensberry.. Sure Harrison is as well.. Harrison would stop Cardle.. Simpson v Roberts would actually be quite interesting and would maybe bring the best out in Roberts although again can't see the Roberts camp wanting that.. Ryder v McEwan a very good match.. Would much prefer to see Cornish v Dallas as Lewison maybe a bit much at this time. Also i would like to see Simmons v Dawson..

I'm guessing the undercard will be:

Jon Slowey v TBA
David Brophy v TBA
Michael Roberts Jnr v TBA
Stephen Simmons v TBA
Luke Campbell v TBA
Scott Cardle v TBA

Anyone willing to bet ha

Not really but considering Eddie has spoken about talking to Golden boy for Broner to defend his belt against Brook on PPV, it's not that far fetched.
