Jim can stay but Nick Halling can go and I think Sky know that.

I thought alex arthur did a really good job last night.
Would be happy to see him get the gig more often, definately better than watt.

Ritchie woodhall always calls the technical stuff well but maybe a bit dull for a main commentators slot, maybe better leaving him in the studio on a panel, or ringside for between round opinions

There was a guy used to work on eurosport years back, loved to belittle the meaningless titles being fought for by no mark losers on eurosport boxing shows. Always amused me but can never remember his name.

Be good to see a fan of each boxer, commentating like they did or do in football? (fanzone) would be interesting and probably be a good bit of banter?

No you are right, Haye would be the best, he doesn't have an accent and speaks well. His take on the Groves vs Froch fight after a few rounds was great. He has been at the tope and knows the sport well. Jim Watt's voice just grates me every time

I quite like Richard Woodhall. He knows he stuff and has a passion for the game.

There are plenty who can do the co-piloting job, it`s the main masher that is the problem. Rawling`s "he could finish it right here right now" is awful and the rst of the lead commentators are not much better.

Darke is perhaps the best of a bad bunch.

They could maybe bring in a yank? Not a popular option, but at least they bring something different (apart from that Colonel bloke who is utter pants)

Maybe Richard "the secret" Williams should be given a shot. Anyone but a scouser. That grating, whiney, persecuted babble does my box in.

As lead commentator I think I prefer Darke yeh, he's less cheesy, Halling is very cheesy and not my cup of tea at all. I preferred Adam Smith to Halling even.

Watt I would replace with Moore, Woodhall, Spencer Oliver etc on rotation.

Steve Holdsworth, especially if he's in one of his "everything's shit" moods.

I'm sure you're thinking of Steve Holdsworth. He is very good, and says it how it is

Come on DaveyH - he was refering to Danny Williams as having a good chin in Danny's last fight... talking about his win over Negus like it was a credible win... it wasn't even licence FFS.

Anyone seriously considering replacing Watt with Holdsworth better check out that commentary first! Richie Woodhall didn't know what to say.

Is this the guy i'm thinking of? Is he still on eurosport?

Its been ages since i watched a fight on there, i used to love this guy
Never tried to ramp up a mismatch or sell a fight for anything other thanwhat it is.
Loved slagging off some of the irrelevant titles.

Probably why he's never been given a sky gig, couldn't bring himself to call every fight a pickum fight or attempt to sell cleverly or quigg as legitamite world champions
