His faded HW form, I believe, tends to make people forget what a fast and monstrous CW he was.

Gomez was dominant at cruiserweight but his best title-fight opponent was probably Marcelo Fabian Dominguez, who went 24 rounds with him in two fights. I don't remember Gomez facing a big-punching fighter capable of taking his punch and pressuring him for 12 rounds like Adamek would. I can see it going either way. In the US, I would go Adamek by SD. If in Germany, I would go Gomez close UD.
