Round 15...coming to the end of a tight battle that could go either way on the scorecards. Bonavena walks into a great left hook from Muhammad Ali and collapses to the mat. Though he gets up, he never really regains his legs and is floored 2 more times bringing at end to the bout with Muhammad Ali winning by 15th round TKO.

Oscar Bonavena is so impressed with Ali he repeatedly yells to ringsiders that "He'll (Ali will) beat Frazier"

No,,,,,,,,
Yet another thing that Duce is clueless about. All of Bonavena's other losses came via decision, and he was DQ'ed once. Nobody other than Ali holds a KO or TKO victory over him.

That ain't no opinion Il Douchebag. THAT'S A FACT

Of course we all know you never let the facts get in the way of a good yarn. So by all means March Forward in your Clown Shoes.

No,

Oscar Bonavena was stopped by Luis Pires in September 1963, in a South American Amateur Tournament
in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Oscar was also stopped by Lee Carr on April 30, 1963 at the Pan Am Games.

There is still some controversy about his DQ win over Al 'Blue' Lewis, as Oscar was floored, and was on the
canvas for more 25-seconds.
So now we're going by Amateur stoppages? I guess that means you consider Marciano's record to be 57-4?

Or does it only count when Ali is involved?

Just the facts on Oscar Bonavena to clear up the question.

As a professional he was only 'stopped' by Muhammad Ai.
I'll bet that last sentence hurt you to have to say didn't it?

Don't expect to get an answer. When people ask him questions like that, he just shows up and starts ranting like he was before as if he doesn't even notice the question you asked.

Ah ok. To me he must be an Ali fan to seemingly know so much about his background and all his fights, and then to post what happened in the 10th second of round 9, 17th second of round 9 etc...etc... I seriously couldn't be arsed or have the time to dedicate my life to an audience of about 6 regular followers of this part of the forum, when in the grand scheme of things none of it is that important.

It is to him.

It's his life.

He's been on here for hours every day for the last 6 months furiously typing away like the demented nutter that he is.

Reminds me of a rat on a treadmill.

Yeah in response to Controversial's post. I've always thought the same thing, the way he pinpoints the exact second of a round that this happens or that happens, the dude must have all of Ali's fights on a constant loop in his house. With a notebook writing

Round 3: 55 seconds in...Al Blue Lewis lands a jab.

Or whatever the hell. Much as he hates him, he must dedicate more time to watching Ali's fights than anybody, which is kinda ironic and pathetic.

Il Duceroono......

I am quite surprised that you have not mentioned the many many other times Bonavena was stopped.

What about the myriad of red lights that he did not choose to run? You musta forgot!

Or by the pretty girl in the grocery store aisle?

Or by that damn chunk of lead from some effin' low life scumbag coward.

You know anything about that?

Again pulling down on the neck of an opponent. This is a 'filthy and unclean foul', usually
found in dirty, unwashed and unrefined fighters.

I believe Muhammad Ali had called Oscar Bonavena.....'an Italian Bum' who was thrown out of Argentina for not enlisting in the Army.

Muhammad Ali,,,,,,,class act.
"This is about 'Round 9', not 'Planet 13' "....I'm at a loss as to what the hell that even means.

"I was more tired than hurt. I was behind on points, so I had to risk coming in wide-open to get
in a knockout blow. I had to try to win."

"If he fought me in my home-country {Argentina} I win by Knockout. I asked him to come to
Buenos Aires to fight me in rematch, and he said 'No'. He big chicken. He little 'pulcino'."
Somehow I don't believe Oscar Bonavena said the majority of these things you're quoting him with. Probably because you're a well established liar.

Which is strange, because Il Duce doesn't like Ali, because he's a liar.
