I think you're doing your former boss a disservice. He's been boxing since boyhood, did the business as an amateur and was a world class cruiserweight. It's not like he turned up on Monday and cleared off with the firm's wages on Friday. His career didn't start AND end whilst you were in his pocket.Spud wrote:Whilst my former boss is an example, its not the reason for asking!!Dead Mouse wrote:I can see where this one's heading. If you have a fighter who is talented who says "I'm here for the money, I am going to make as much as soon as possible and then get the f*ck out" do you blame him?

Yeah boxing is a sport at amateur level i believe, has its ups and downs with cliques i guess but too be expected...
The professional game is a bit different its all about selling tickets and who will spend the most money and get the best sponsors bla bla bla!!! I guess i am lucky ihave a good follow and a great team with sponsors and such!!! Just nobody really wants to fight unless they are made too :(
On a positive note the BBBofC have put me against Jon Kays for British eliminator so lets see what happens there :p

Good question. As was well documented at the time (Primetime days) that he wasn't interested in fame, what other reasons were they?Parson Cross wrote:You need to assess Carl's career overall mate.
Carl was well managed and matched before he hit the big time.
All boxers are .......
To say money isn't a factor is stupid.
Answer me this - why did Carl leave Mick ?
