Butcher vs Wilton
Butcher vs Wilton
Was having a browse through the schedule and came across this fight. Happening on 20th Jan at StAndrews sporting club.
Good fight and good to see 2 domestic contenders getting it on (admittedly there aren't many fly's these days!).
Is this an eliminator?
I fancy Butcher to win on points

Re: Butcher vs Wilton
The board putting this fight up is misleading as we were informed last week that Wilton hasn't signed contract for whatever there reasons are we arrow looking to be made mandatory to fight satchell as the Wilton fight was a final eliminator hope this answers ur question mate

eddie i had Butcher beating Satchell last time round, whats the chances of him vacating a title or Gilmour winning the purse bids to bring Satchell up here?

I have no idea a cant answer from them mate but kev doesn't seem like the type to shy away from a fight am sure he will take the fight and that's the fight iain want hopefully the board install Iain as mandatory and the rematch is on Iain and kev are clearly the best 2 flyweights in Britian so the public would be in for a real treat

It was a great fight and a close fight we also had Iain 2 rounds ahead 3 points with the knockdown that's boxing but am sure second fight would be just as good as first if not better

Hope it can be brought up to the Ravenscraig Centre, great arena for boxing
Re: Butcher vs Wilton
Unlikely with Satchell signing with Warren, Gilmour has no chance of outbidding him because of TV and the shows he's putting on at the Echo.fightscorecollector wrote:eddie i had Butcher beating Satchell last time round, whats the chances of him vacating a title or Gilmour winning the purse bids to bring Satchell up here?

Shame this fight looks to have fallen through. Whoever won would be well deserving of a rematch.
Personally thought Ian was unlucky to lose in Liverpool but got to give Satchell credit to come back from the second round though. For a 20 year old to go a close 12 rounds with Satchell so early in his career is impressive and as long as he stays dedicated he'll at least win domestic honours for sure.

Don't have the rematch in Liverpool or else the judges will job Butcher again. Hopefully the better boxer wins on the night unlike last time.
