Broner-Maidana SPOILER

Post by WayoftheCass »

'Early Christmas present........Broner battered!'

Well pop goes the Broner myth. Badly beaten. Down twice. Smashed up. Brave as f#ck in fairness. Likely broken jaw. Lost wide UD. Fled from the ring in tears. Abandoned by his entourage.........
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Stick a fork in this turkey. He's done.

Oh and I enjoyed every single second of that. Merry Christmas.

Can title be ammended? But do people really come on forums before they watch the fight?? If so aren't they kind of asking for it???? Akin to going on 606 first thing Sunday not knowing the scores.

And Maidana does???

The truth is that Broner only looked good beating non-punching fighters he had a huge size advantage over. The fight with Rees was absurd. Maidana is tough as hell and wild therefore tough to plan for but is a level or two below Bradley, Manny, JMM etc never mind Floyd. Thats what makes this so shocking.........and pleasing!

Can we stop this stupid 'spoiler!!' complaint. I think over the past couple of years a consensus has been reached that if you don't want to know the result, don't come on, it really is that simple.

Agreed. The spoiler moans are just dull now.

And I am delighted that the broner bandwagon has started to derail, couldn't happen to a nicer chap

I thought the concensus was put spoiler in your title.

Just watched the fight and I'm so glad the judges did the right thing.

I'm sure broner only fled the ring to go and comb his hair! That was great to see, just shows him up as the insecure bully he is

It wasn't the oly bet I had to be fair! Exeter chiefs, Hull City and the Purdy stoppage ( I had money on it going to the cards  ) cost me. Nice to get a bit back on Maidana :TU:

  The advantage of being four hours ahead of the UK at the moment is that I'll be able to get the Stateside results before you and will DM them to you on a regular basis :TU:

Well said. This is a boxing forum, if you dont want to know the result of a fight it does not require many brain cells to figure out where not to go.

Happy to stand corrected if that is indeed the case, but every time I've looked at any such thread in the past couple of years and someone complains the majority appear to shout them down with the view I expressed earlier.
PS. I am ecstatic about Broner getting smashed :yay:

Broner is better than Berto IMO. Berto probably would of been knocked out tonight.

No Lefty, the point which you have so obviously missed is that, like Berto, he's an athlete, not a boxer.

Anyway. Neither can fight at all on the inside but Berto can at least punch with the right hand to a dangerous level. Defence, footwork, ring IQ of both is fuckawful. I don't see too much difference between them, meself. Certainly not enough to anoint Broner anything.

Shit-for-brains needs to go back to fighting super-featherweights, who he can not bother weighing in for & outweigh by a stone. Then he might get a knockout.

You've got to be a stupid c***! Go on a forum where people post there bit on outcomes!!!
Oh let me evade the results & find a safe haven in the forums!!

Broner showed braveness in there, I felt after the midway point his fitness was going to take over as Maidana loses snap gets tired & looks weak to the body, but broner chose to stand over him & trade & paid for it.
Not sure broner will be the same after that & should drop down to 10st

Well done Maidana, he continues to reign as king of the second wind. Fantastic performance.

A feel good victory if ever there was.
