Gil not only wouldn't like it, but he'd strongly disagree with it. Marcos whips Malignaggi's ass and becomes the 3rd man to KO/TKO him.

We'll have to see  :OhYes: .... to be fair, a lot of people on here were predicting that Zab would knock Paulie out aswell and early to boot!

I did indeed pick Zab to win, but I picked him to win a decision. Much as I'm not a fan of Paulie, I'd never question his toughness. Dude can take a punch no doubt.

Stylistically though he's like Mayorga, he's so unorthodox and awkward that he's very difficult for a traditionally schooled boxer to time. Maidana looked like he was gonna pull the Mayorga-Forrest I on Broner in the 2nd round with how bad AB was hurt.

Mayorga could only dream of having a jab like Maidana was banging on Broner. That jab alone exposed Broner, who to me is the unorthodox fighter.

Am I the only one who thought Thurman and Soto-Karass looked giant compared to Maidana and Broner even though they are all in the same division....

Maybe it's because Thurman and Karass are considered power punchers or because they are long time WWs while Broner and Maidana are newer to 147...

Anyone else think they seemed bigger?

I think both of those guys have competed at 154 before. They're big welterweights whereas I think both Maidana and Broner are small welterweights.

My scores were a little closer to the commentator scores than the official judges. Maybe I did have Broner taking a few closer rounds.

Adrien Broner vs Marcos Maidana
1 Maidana
2 Maidana (10-8)
3 Broner (close)
4 Maidana
5 10-10
6 Broner
7 Broner (close)
8 Maidana (9-8)
9 Maidana
10 Maidana
11 Broner (close)
12 Broner

115-112

Yes, Thurman and S-K have both competed at 154 before and S-K in particular is on the tall side for a WW, Broner and Maidana of course have come up and Maidana in particular is a bit fleshy at WW where he used to be fairly lean at LWW
