Depends on what you think of the status of the IBF intercontinental belt. Personally, I think it's pretty worthless.

What is IBF Inter-Continental class?

To be honest, it don't mean much. So yes he's ready for that title, it could be against anyone as long as theres money to pay for it

Well according to the WBO Kevin Mitchell is world-class

They have him in the November rankings at #12, one place below Manuel Medina. Hopefully we will see Mitchell Vs Barrios next year then :P .

Also Ryan Rhodes at #14 Super-Middleweight which was a bit surprising or maybe not.

IBF Intercontinental class can't really be commented on because it's just another rubbish title used to try to fool fans into thinking an up and coming fighter is some sort of a champion. I would rate British level as being much better than it.

Agreed. And the British title has so much more - history, tradition, honour, etc.

Honestly, as I've said before, you can ask almost any British boxer what they would like out of their careers (titles wise). After a genuine world belt, the second choice is invariably the British title - above European and Commonwealth.

Yes, asking if someone is 'intercontinental class' is a bit futile, as it appears just about anyone can be an intercontinental champ or challenge for it.

What the fornicate is the difference between 'world' and 'international' in any case.
