That is one argument, that if boxer A beats boxer B then he should be ranked higher than him, no matter what, until they meet again and the matter is cleared once and for all.

But the boxrec rankings are influenced heavily by previous opponents, so for arguments sake, Koc could have beaten Tyson, Lewis, Holfield etc. etc. whilst Sprott came in at 0-30. Koc would be totally the better boxer, but if Sprott accidently knocks Koc cold whilst going to pick his nose then obviously he shouldn't be ranked higher.

The actual outcome of that is harder to factor, but it basically comes down to whether your going to rank players objectively or subjectively. If you do it the latter way then you can take account of hometown biases (not pointing the finger at this one in particular,) how the actual boxers look/perform on the night and stuff. Although it's a matter of opinion, so whilst some of us are perfect in all ways, others can sometimes get it wrong, which adds to the argument for an objective system.

P.S. Could anyone with a lisp and an interest in boxing rankings please let me know so I can ask them how they wank Koc? Thank you

Harrison' best wins are against Wiggins, Davis and Calloway.

Sprott defeated Koc and once Danny Williamson.

Koc got an SD to Sprott and defeated Dominquez.
