How do they defend the fact the guy at #3 lost by KO2 to the guy at #15 a mere 13 months ago!

The bastards ;-)

Presumably the fact Fletcher has fought 5 times in that period paying a PABA sanctioning fee more than once has, ahem, helped his case.

I'm not sure they could afford to stay there.
Can any average fan?
expert suggestion as I have good friends who live in the south of france.

Stay in a town called Menton which is about 10 km outside of Monaco, The town has nice hotels and bars for a fraction of the price of what you pay in Monaco, plus the train from Menton to Monaco takes 6 mins and is cheap as chips, 4 euros from memory.

Probably not. I heard Stephen Hawking's computer crashed when he was trying to get his head around the way the WBA works.

Also don't forget one can be promoted from World Champion to Super Champion without fighting for 18 months. ( Beibut Shumenov)

This could be the most dubious trinket any British fighter has ever held. An interim against a victim of British champ? It is not even anywhere near a true eliminator fight.

If Fletcher was to win, would BJS' ranking be retrospectively updated as a consequence ?

Golovkin is not going to be Super Champion. So guessing this is for the Interim World Title then.

this now makes Ricky Hatton and Martin Murrary going around saying that they were fighting for a world title and having a press conference, look like fools (even thought it like them both)

Ricky Hatton has forged a career from going around saying he was fighting for a world title. At least Murray went to buenos aires and mennheim and had a go!

Martin will be first to say victory against fletcher is stepping stone to a big fight.
