i can't see that Ali effected britain to much , the only story i know of ali in britain was when he came over to fight cooper the second time harry holland and black english fighter went to spar with ali .and ali told the black fighter he shouldn't be harry holland as he was white and the devil ......harry holland said Ali was a prick ......

i would say terry lawless / mickey duff, then after fwarren took over . bruno did a lot for british boxing just because he was such a well liked bloke.

Henry Cooper must have had some influence, he's remarkably the only British boxer to have a knighthood despite achieving less than quite a few others.

allegedly for me in the non participant cat. Grew up watching the big fw shows. He was always involved in all the big Brit shows. Remember boxing in only my 3rd fight on a big warren card at the O2. At the weigh in I was there with a few big names, many cameras and fw in the middle of it all.only weeks before I was fighting at the circus tavern so going into that was massive for me.ive always thanked frank for putting me on that stage.would never have done the ton without that
