No it's too soon , Ward could ruin him and he needs to go down the Steiglitz or Bika route then a hope for a Froch rematch.J-C wrote:https://twitter.com/andreward/status/416302925418229760

Don't understand why people use the 'too soon' line. What on earth is Groves going to learn now to make him better than he was in his last fight?
Also Ward doesn't ruin anyone. Andre by comfortable decision.

Re: Ward says he would consider fighting Groves next
very easy for ward
he is just to good
he is just to good
Re: Ward says he would consider fighting Groves next
"Ruin him" in what sense? I'd predict a pretty wide points win for Ward, but i'd be very surprised if he got close to stopping him. More established fighters than George have suffered convincing points losses to Andre without being considered ruined.Final round wrote:No it's too soon , Ward could ruin him and he needs to go down the Steiglitz or Bika route then a hope for a Froch rematch.J-C wrote:https://twitter.com/andreward/status/416302925418229760

Re: Ward says he would consider fighting Groves next
Stieglitz or Bika would be better options and would help to build a future big Ward fight or Froch rematch if he won.
Re: Ward says he would consider fighting Groves next
It's no disgrace losing to Ward. I dont think he'd be ruined by the experience he'd just recognise the fact that he was beaten by a very good fighter. Someone who will probably go down as an all time great.
Re: Ward says he would consider fighting Groves next
What would be funny, is if Ward come out and said il fight the winner of a rematch. Froch would be pretty stuck then. Obviously he could fight Chavez jnr for a big payday but noone really gives a shit about that fight in all honesty.

Bika has been saying that he wants Froch in a Vegas unification

Bika is seriously overestimating his and Froch's popularity then.earsjohn wrote:Bika has been saying that he wants Froch in a Vegas unification

Ruin his confidence when he gets mugged and made to look clueless.Riddick Blowe wrote:Don't understand why people use the 'too soon' line. What on earth is Groves going to learn now to make him better than he was in his last fight?

Too soon eg get whooped for not enough money.
This Groves won't improve line is a complete load of bollocks I'll agree he may not ever improve enough to beat Ward though.

Re: Ward says he would consider fighting Groves next
George would get some success against Ward, his speed of hand and foot early doors would cause trouble, and he definitely packs the punch to hurt even the sturdiest of chins.
Wards experience would tell and I'd expect him to use a few rough tactics to edge ahead in the fight, maybe even wearing him down to a late stoppage.
Ward tends to fight the other mans fight at times, so i don't expect it to be a total wight wash.... more a close but clear pts verdict.

The problem is though mate that Ward himself has speed of hand and foot. Superior to George's aswell. I do think George could provide a tougher test than a lot of Wards past foes though.funtime wrote:George would get some success against Ward, his speed of hand and foot early doors would cause trouble, and he definitely packs the punch to hurt even the sturdiest of chins.

How sure of that are you?columbo wrote:Superior to George's aswell.

Aye, people said Froch was too soon. Ward is another gear up, but why not?Riddick Blowe wrote:Don't understand why people use the 'too soon' line. What on earth is Groves going to learn now to make him better than he was in his last fight?

However, I agree with the majority that Bika or Steiglitz would be better options.
Re: Ward says he would consider fighting Groves next
Groves would have a very slim chance but a better chance than Froch would have. This fight could be built over a few fights. Bigger money. Degale v Ward could be very interesting what a chess match that would be.

Pretty damn sure. I'd be willing to bet my favourite Y-fronts on it!Horse wrote:How sure of that are you?columbo wrote:Superior to George's aswell.
Re: Ward says he would consider fighting Groves next
At least Ward shows he has a pair of balls unlike that gobshite Froch - too concerned about his legacy to be the most unliked boxer around now
