I just don't get how Froch could be fighter of the year after taking a beating from Groves for the first 6 rounds, to me it should be for whoever has performed best throughout the year and while Froch is undoubtedly the best fighter in the country, numerous fighters have turned in better performances than him.

Whatever you think of him he got up of his arse took a beating for 6 rounds and dragged himself back into it to get the win. Huge event against Kessler and looked good against him. Nobody comes close to him. Everyone else has actually lost yet your saying he can't be fighter of the year as he lost a few rounds, the lost rounds the others lost fights

Groves could have got a second wind. He still had a good chance of winning that fight.

I named about a dozen fighters earlier who hadn't lost and could be considered for it. Performing as badly as he did for 6 rounds, then needing a shocking stoppage to get the win, isn't fighter of the year material, it should go to the fighter who performed the best throughout the year and there are numerous fighters who have turned in better performances than him.

Got to the last line ... if there is a rematch, Froch will be totally different in his attitude to training, the build up and in addition the fight ... I honestly think he would smash Groves.

Spoke to someone today, I sincerely hope Groves does not get the rematch ... why?? - he is acting like a right *** - I heard him and a couple of his inner circle moaning about the "war of words" that was going on twitter in the build up to the Kenny Anderson fight, I actually agreed, some of the so called banter was truly disgusting ... but yet its now ok for Groves to use twitter to disrespect one of the best fighters this country has produced.

Froch is meant to be the consummate professional who is allway's prepared I think how he came back showed what shape he was in.
Froch can't deal with speed & is slow out the blocks, dirrell,Taylor,ward & groves have exposed his weakness,Taylor was miles infront & ward may have lost a round dirrell was controversial & groves was way ahead despite the judges scores.

Froch can visibly not outgun groves early on he's to slow!!frochs defence is shocking but fook does it make it intresting!

For me, Groves would SMASH Froch if and when a rematch takes place. People forget that young, lippy George would have learned a lot too having pushed the Cobra all the way first time around. The first fight proved a lot. 1. that Groves belongs in world class, 2. he cracks hard enough to hurt Froch, 3. he's faster than Carl and 4. that Froch is past his best, which was evident before he even fought George.

Groves should never have been stopped but I concede he was in bother and could well have lost the fight with Froch in the ascendency. But let's get it right, Groves LOST the fight more than Froch WON it by electing to mix it. A more tactically astute Groves will walk the rematch. Trust me.

Worst of all for Froch, I think his chins starting to crack, he was rocked by Kessler, Groves knocked him flat on his arse and hurt him time after time in the rounds after that. All those years of walking through punches are finally starting to take their toll and at 36, he's only going to get worse physically. If he isn't interested in money, retirement isn't a bad option for him, Carl has nothing to prove and not fighting Groves again would harm his legacy more than not fighting again for me.

I allway's thought that there ain't no such thing as an eight count unless the fighter jumps up & the ref wants to score the knockdown & give time ??
Also if they think the ropes have stopped the fighter from getting knocked over they administer one, which I didn't know & if foster thought this was the case & didn't do it he played froch the advantage
