Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
Quite like to see Chisora II, Wilder be interesting also, Big Daddy Browne I see as potentially a comedy or errors or great entertainment!

I think we've all come to expect this sort of thing from Tyson, it's just hard to tell whether he's being serious sometimes though.lillywhite14 wrote:Two warm up fights? Bit strange!mullenman wrote:check out del boys twitter

Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
I wouldn't begrudge him one warm up fight. The Haye debacle could have taken an awful lot out of him mentally. Del, on the other hand, has some good momentum going at the moment.
Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
No direspect intended but I don't think Tyson would need a warmup fight before Lucas Browne if it happens pretty soon.
Also nothing on Tony Thomspon who has offered himself out. This is a guy who Tyson said was an 'easy touch' and would 'do a job on him' yet he shows no interest now............ that or Chisora II is who I would like Fury to face for his comeback anyway.
As for RJJ that must be a joke surely.

Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
Considering Fury sees himself as an elite level guy now, then the likes of Browne, Thompson and Chisora could be argued to be warm up fights. Browne certainly.
Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
We need Tyson to get busy. He is great entertainment before, during, and post fight.

I would be happy with Browne as a warm up.

Tony Thompson would be a good fight,id fancy Fury to win a wide decision though but whoever it is it has to be a big name i reckon otherwise he,ll be making a fool of himself

Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
tony thompson on channel 5 in feb would be nice before a summer smasher
Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
I admire Tyson in many ways but would be annoyed at the Roy jones fight , that shouldn't be made however the Thomson fight is a good yard stick
Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
If Fury can beat Thompson more convincingly than Pulev did then he'll be No. 2 in the division behind Wladimir.
That fight should be made.

Beating Thompson don't make anyone number two

Yes it does.lillywhite14 wrote:![]()

Who would be No. 2 instead?
Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
Even though I think Fury is an idiot ( though an incredibly funny one ) if he smashed Thompson I would agree with this.Horse wrote:Yes it does.lillywhite14 wrote:![]()

It depends what the Pulev fight took out of Thompson. If the Thompson that turns up against David Price in the rematch fought Fury now I would give him a good chance. If Fury turns up and smashes Thompson it looks impressive.
As for a Chisora rematch I just looked at the WBO rankings. Chisora is 2 and Fury is 6. So beating Thompson then Chisora puts Tyson in a great position for a World Title shot in 2015.
For me Fury has no chance against Wlad now but if all his belts became vacant and he was top of the rankings I would give him a chance of picking one up.

Pulev. He has better wins overall.Horse wrote:Yes it does.lillywhite14 wrote:![]()

Also, just because you say it as if its fact, it doesn't add anymore credibility to the claim!
Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
How so?lillywhite14 wrote:Pulev. He has better wins overall.
Fury: Thompson (in this scenario), Chisora, Cunningham & Johnson
Pulev: Thompson, Dimitrenko, Ustinov & Sprott
Fury's record would be better and he would have beaten Thompson better than Pulev.

Pulev's already beaten him so why would it put Fury above him?Horse wrote:Yes it does.lillywhite14 wrote:![]()

Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
stupid fight if fury fights jones
fury needs guidence off people better than mick hennessy

Re: Fury calling out Roy Jones jnr
By beating Thompson more easily it would suggest that Fury was better and he'd then have a better record than Pulev as well.danconnollyeire wrote:Pulev's already beaten him so why would it put Fury above him?
