I can see Jones becoming a well-travelled dangerman over the next few years.

Yeah I would go to a pub to watch, providing there was nothing on tv, the pub was close and the beer was a reasoable price

a good opponent who had a couple of very tough and competitive bouts with Kell Brook. I think this will be a great fight and its as good an opponent I expected Choc to get out to Australia. Im looking forward to it.

Kell Brook is a welter and remains unbeaten. Jones was down in the 2nd and counted out in the 8th in their last bout.

But in saying that, at 11 stone, the much younger and quite experienced Jones, will be give Mundine a yardstick on whether to continue with his long-winded path to glory over in the USA.

The second Brook/Jones fight was NOT a competitive fight.
Jones did not win single round. He was given a boxing lesson and absorbed a beating in the fight before the ref finally pulled the plug.
Jones landed a few good shots in middle rounds of that fight but Brook couldn't miss with that looping right hand and was tagging Jones with hard shots from the first minute of the opening round forward.
Carson is a tough guy that just keeps coming forward and can take a lot of punishment but that's about it.
He has failed to win three of his last four and comes off that beating from Brook into this fight.

While I sort of agree with ansmwe :witzend: Scotty and polecateddy here, as well as SweetP on another site, this Carson Jones fellow may well be a welter weight Glen Johnson, a dangerous journey man/road warrior, he isn't there yet and isn't what Mundane has promised nor what he claims he's aiming for. Does any one know if this lad is a GBP boy?

Oh shit and disaster and only 10 days to go, Carson Jones has been forced to pull out his January 29 fight with Anthony Mundine in Brisbane after injuring himself in the lead up to the fight.

Ghana’s Joshua Clottey, who has been the distance with the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto is rumoured to be a replacement for Jones. So much for Pay-per-view!

Currently that venerable TBA (Taxis Buenos Aires) is currently in the frame!

Bummer, any boxing is good even if it features Choc and I thought Jones was going to be competitive.
Hopefully Clottey steps in but its short notice.

Clottey, would be a decent replacement.

I now it's negative, but what an abortion of an undercard.

2 things I've noticed about choc's undercards.

Know one ever cares about the fighters he has on it.
And none of them ever are going anywhere, as the cards are always lobsided in the left hand ledger of the schedule.

Why not try and get yourself on the undercard - theres a Welter and a light middle match up still up for grabs

I would come out cracking If given the chance! Especially after hearing how most Aussie really feel about him! If he was getting mocked for fighting Carson they would crucify him for fighting me! I would fev him a run for sure.
