Dereck Chisora vs Andriy Rudenko

Post by Final round »

I know nothing about him and he's not in anyone's top 15 and he's fought a who's who of who's? but he's a BANGER!

Just watched a video posted on a different forum and he lookds very.....un polished.

his record is glossy, but he's fought dross quite frankly http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?cat=bo ... _id=374937

I'm hoping this is a relationship builder with k2 and nothing more, not even a sideways step.

Rudenko has never even been entered into a ten round fight
Great record on paper but when you look into it there is nothing there
Awful fight for Delboy and surely his promoter has to get him better opponents?

Ok he's on K2's books but like you say barely even sideways, backwards really. A win against him will do nothing for his ranking and the bloke can obviously punch at a certain level.

Not a surprise at all. And on the night, it won't be Rudenko in the other corner facing Chisora....

I do understand the need for any top ten heavyweight to tread water while the WBC title situation sorts itself out and possibly allows a non-Klitschko route to a world heavyweight title fight, but once again, talk of a big opponent predictably leads to another total unknown being dug up.

I would absolutely love to see Chisora make it to the top. Scott was easily outboxing him, and Gerber and Pala wobbled him. Marking time isn't without its risks.......

Chisora is far from being the only heavyweight treading water against nobodies but its disappointing that the talk of a "major" fight hasn't come good.

They are just keep busy fights. Del won't create any revenue until he has a big fight so his opponents are going to be poor.

Rudenko's not top 15 ranked with a big punch at his level it seems like a higher risk to reward ratio?Like jimjim said, Chisora's been stunned a couple of times in these keep busy fights and one of these fighters could wipe out the building gameplan.

It's not often that a contender above 140 pounds fights someone I haven't heard of....

Most people are just saying that he's unknown and that his record is built on weak opposition, which is true. A poster above has seen him and his brief review was not positive.

He's not in any of the Big 4 belts rankings currently. I fully expect him to enter the WBO top 15 at their next update however.

hes fairly solid but hardly a 'Klit clone' at 6ft

to be an effective klit clone at 6ft you'd have to be fighting someone lolenga mock's size

Never heard of him and I don't recognize any of the names on his record. My guess is that most of them are probably local guys in his own backyard. Still, at least Chisora is keeping busy and fighting an undefeated opponent is always worth something. We also have to take into consideration that this is more or less a last minute fight as his next opponent wasn't decided until basically now.

Wouldn't be a very fun forum if we all agreed.

If they couldnt get a decent defence of his European they could have brought in someone with a decent record and resume and defended his WBA/WBO International titles or whatever it is he also holds
