Stuart Hall just Won the (Vacant) IBF World Title, what ever way you look at it he is Now the IBF World Champ (weather or he deserved the chance of fighting for it).. There's more like Gavin Rees etc they all won a World Title!! I understand with the WBU and the WBF etc but what you said I think is silly and you Cant take away that they won a World Title so IMO its being disrespectful towards these fighters... I know a few people that won the British Masters Title and then let Fans that dont know much about boxing think that was The British Title, now that wrong!! The Masters ain't as good as the S-Area....

I think everyone in the world who likes boxing looks at boxrec. What would be the harm in tracing back the lineage of each original title and crowning a champion. Whilst at the same time completely ignoring all the other 'non profit' organisations.

I can't see why you can't agree with me. If you had won a World Title (WBC WBA IBF WBO) I'm sure you would of had a different view on this.. It's something that will never can take away from these boxers. Weather they defend once or 10 times They won a Version of a World Title then they are where a World Champ?

2) The major governing bodies are run by similar greedy and duplicitous people as run the wider world; they know how the world works because they work it to their own end.

2) Yes, exactly. Boxing governing bodies can't exist outside society on some sort of ethereal plane of fairness, selflessness and justice for all. There is a strange disconnect from some "hardcore" fans who seem to forget this.

i think sometimes we remember the past better than it was , there has been at least 3 world champions for nearly 30 years and british fighters like chris eubanks or duke mckenzie were never the no1 fighter in the world but they were still "world champions" .
the problem with creating a BOXREC title is that for me the ratings would have to be changed and rather than using a points system as now it would need to rate the boxers in a "fairer" way or we will end up with another belt that means very little .
