Maussa makes weight at third attempt

WBA junior-welterweight champion Carlos Maussa was forced to make three trips to the scales before eventually making the 10st limit for his unification clash with IBF titleholder Ricky Hatton on Saturday (Nov 26) night.

Whilst the 34 year-old Colombian scaled 139 3/4lbs at the third time of asking after some light training, Britain's most exciting fighter weighed in at a comfortable 139 1/4lbs at the first time of asking.

The Hatton vs Maussa broadcast-the unification bout along with the undercard matches-will be available live in the United States starting at 4 pm et in over 50 million Pay Per View homes via cable systems from iN Demand & TVN and from satellite providers DirecTV & Dish Network. The broadcast is being distributed in the USA by Integrated Sports. For more information on the broadcast, visit http://www.Integratedsportsnet.com.
