Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
How soon till BT Sport buy allegedly do you reckon? Can't be long now.
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Hennessy must be almost done now.
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Still involved according to Ed Robinson on Twitter.columbo wrote:Hennessy must be almost done now.
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Yes, wait for the full story on this one I think. All allegedly have said is that he has signed a promotional deal to fight on the Copperbox show.
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Interesting. Wonder what kind of deal they've got. Also im wondering whether Hennessy's channel 5 deal has gone tits up for this to happen. If so, Degale will be going soon aswell I imagine.danamba7 wrote:Still involved according to Ed Robinson on Twitter.columbo wrote:Hennessy must be almost done now.

Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Frank Warren: "We look forward to working with Tyson, Peter Fury, Mick Hennessey, Hughie Fury and the rest of the team."

Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Be similar to Frampton I reckon with McGuigan
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
By the sounds of that, Hennessy's Channel 5 deal is pretty much dead in the water and they're jumping ship.Aden wrote:allegedly "We look forward to working with Tyson, Peter Fury, Mick Hennessey, Hughie Fury and the rest of the team."
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.

Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
its hardly suprising im sure promotion work these days is dead in the water since there is no names to speak of, may as well join forces and get what scraps are left. Years ago FW was the Don King on England but without the big names of yesteryear no one wants to go to fights, especially when you have 1 name and 10 undercard fights no one wants to see.
Its a good move for the sake of British boxing get all the fights under one roof with names not just journeymen

Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
I clicked the link but found the story about Antwerp and womens bums much better!
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Why don't the pro journos gather all the facts and take the time to produce a decent article rather than simply tripping over their keyboards and blurting out the semi-founded crap we're all perfectly capable of doing ourselves?
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
I really should get allegedly. £10 a month is good value. Shame nothing is on Terrestrial tv now, crazy!
Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
I bought it purely for Mayweather Canelo/Garcia Matthysse back in September as those fights are worth a tenner never mind any other coverage that month. I meant to cancel it after this but still paying the tenner a month now, been some good stuff since too.TopGun wrote:I really should get allegedly. £10 a month is good value. Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Adds a bit more interest to the Copper Box shows with the Furys on the bill.
Who do we think they'll be paired up against?

Not sure but mismatches most likely.Weirdyman wrote:Adds a bit more interest to the Copper Box shows with the Furys on the bill.

Maybe jumped the gun?
according to

Peter Fury - The deal however is not done. After the announcement, Tyson’s manager/trainer Peter Fury tweeted “Our Promotor is still Mick Hennessy!! We are currently awaiting the contract in a co-promotion with allegedly. Only then the deal is Done!!”

I'm guessing this means the end for boxing on channel 5 then. Surely, all Mick's stable will be on BN now?

Re: Fury signs with FW. Stunning.
Read the fightnews article that Alba posted above.
It seems it is just a case of signing for possibly 2 fights (a warm up and then Chisora in June) to fight on allegedly and then going from there.

Hopefully this doesn't lead to Fury vs Chisora II.
