Before Daniel meets up with Golovkin, he'll have a warm-up fight against Garth Wood, with the pair fighting each other at the Horden Pavilion on February 19.

Geale is treating the fight as a "keep busy" fight before he meets WBA champion Gennady Golovkin in April or May, for which they have already agreed, while Wood (12-3-1) is treating it as much, much more. The below URL, tells the tale:

don't remember ggg's other opponents getting critically injured, so I don't see why geale would be the exception.

I would expect geale to be ggg's toughest opponent so far, so we'll see if ggg finds this as easy a fight as his previous ones.

I can't believe im saying this, but if you were to fight a guy like GGG, Wood would actually make sense as a preliminary. It's a gauge, as wood is no GGG.

Yeah looks like it might be GGG v Kirkland. Shaw was sure it was a done deal asks how come HBO are considering a fight between GGG and a 154 fighter but not a former 2 time former world champion natural 160 fighter.

they r trying to make ggg seem invincible. they need a new star. if they put him in with geale and the fight turns out to be close and geale isn't ko'd, it will not look good for them.

lets face it, geale will not be a pushover. it could become a 50/50 fight if geale is able to withstand ggg's power shots.
