Why are there no televised British boxing shows this month?
Why are there no televised British boxing shows this month?
What's that about?
Re: Why are there no televised British boxing shows this month?
Christmas and the aftermath. People involved in the game want time off over Christmas and people who may otherwise buy tickets are now skint.

They don't normally do this.Aden wrote:Christmas and the aftermath. People involved in the game want time off over Christmas and people who may otherwise buy tickets are now skint.
Why can't the people who want time off have it and let everyone else get on with it?
Re: Why are there no televised British boxing shows this month?
Boxing is always slow around this time isn't it? Late summer too.
Re: Why are there no televised British boxing shows this month?
It's normally slow, but at least there is usually one or two televised shows.SNG wrote:Boxing is always slow around this time isn't it? Late summer too.
Why am I bothering to pay for allegedly this month? What a waste of money.
Re: Why are there no televised British boxing shows this month?
Because like most people you know you should cancel it but can't be arsed going through the rigmarole of canceling and then signing back up (plus a connection fee if you're with SKY) when it picks up again.Horse wrote:It's normally slow, but at least there is usually one or two televised shows.SNG wrote:Boxing is always slow around this time isn't it? How do I stream everything when I've said in this thread that I subscribe to allegedly?keithmoonhangover wrote:They probably can't afford it because people like you stream everything.
Re: Why are there no televised British boxing shows this month?
Your right. Most of the big British promoters stop mid-December and don't usually return until the first weekend of February. Same thing happens from late July / mid-August until the start of October. I never expect to see any televised British action from SKY or allegedly during these periods.SNG wrote:Boxing is always slow around this time isn't it? Late summer too.

Just because you said it Donkey old bean doesn't mean it is happening. You are a billy bullshite after all. Why not leave Bates Motel and attend a small hall show, even John Merrick ventured out once in a while.Horse wrote:How do I stream everything when I've said in this thread that I subscribe to allegedly?keithmoonhangover wrote:They probably can't afford it because people like you stream everything.

The only bills I know of in the UK are up here in Scotland. There is a Tommy Gilmour card then the Saltire one on the 25th. I will be attending the Saltire card.
