Good luck - as with anything, you have already made the most difficult step be actually walking through the door.
Take it for what it is - get fit, learn some skills, meet new people etc. after a while you might want to spar (or not - no problem) and a bit later you might even look at getting your medical and having an amateur bout.
At your age you could have a 10 year amateur career ahead of you.
There is an ex pro taking classes near the inlaws and I might join-in to get fit etc. I don't want a "boxercise" type of class full of birds, but I am also not looking to spar etc.
