Not that bad match up really expected a worse replacement.

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
Good replacement.
Airich is certainly flawed and will most probably get blown out in Rds 1 or 2, but if that doesnt happen he could start to ask a few questions.

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
He was Danny Williams opponent when German manager/promoter Ahmet Oener rung the bell early to save his fighter in trouble.
Still got beat though. Shouldn't be a problem for Price.

The idea is to get Price some rounds, not blow out all these guys

I was thinking the same.gobbles wrote:funtime wrote:Good replacement.

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
Not really that credible at all, last seen in 2012 when he was KO'd inside the first round, which was the second time that happened to him (other time was against Tye Fields in Prizefighter). Lost his last three, doesn't even have a Boxrec ranking. He's a 225 lb, 6 ft 1 heavy, you'd have to expect an early blow out win for Price. Prizefighter leftovers.

Pointless fight basically!

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
The German camp back in the day said he punched harder than Hide, but probably that should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
He does have 15 KO's from his 19 wins so must have a dig on him.polecateddy wrote:The German camp back in the day said he punched harder than Hide, but probably that should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
unfortunately price is only going to be a ko or be ko'd guy. the idea of getting him rounds and experience is pointless. he has neither the stamina or tools to do anything other than come out blasting in the first three rounds of a fight.
thats said, he still has enough power to make for a few entertaining scraps.
Airich will get smashed ...probably in the first

Absolutely spot on. It's why it will be fun watching him. The first fight against Tony the Tiger showed us he has shockingly poor punch resistance. The second fight showed us he has shockingly poor stamina. Prior to that he showed us that he has good power. I am pretty sure on that basis we already know everything we will ever learn about Price.
I will never forget the second fight with Thompson ending with Price turning away and cowering in his corner. It wasn't even a case of going out on his shield and it all happened on front of his home fans. He simply had enough, physically and mentally. The comical post fight interview Thompson gave was almost as memorable as the defeat of Price.

Come on pricey !

Twas a marvellous interview, wonder how many times thompson tromboned his mrs that night? Wonder if she turned her back on him too?johnswan1 wrote:funso banjo baby wrote:unfortunately price is only going to be a ko or be ko'd guy.

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
David Price will stop Konstain Airich, he is too big, too powerful and skillful for Airich and he if he uses the bloody jab which he forgot to use against Tony Thompson he will beat Airich.
Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
Well remembered, in fact this fight is still on youtube. Alarmingly funny fight for all the very wrong reasons!earsjohn wrote:He was Danny Williams opponent when German manager/promoter Ahmet Oener rung the bell early to save his fighter in trouble.
I seem to remember Ahmet Oener coming on to this forum to state that everything in that fight was above board and he was whiter then white. I also seem to remember certain posters (incl me) ripping into him and pointing out key facts and evidence of underhanded activities during that 'short round', and Ahmet having the sauce to say it never happened!! It is on you tube, can you not see yourself in that clip reaching over to the timekeeper ordering him to ring the bell just as Airich was in big trouble half way through the round. Ahmet just did'nt get it!! Very funny thread that!

Haha! I didnt know that he'd actually come on the forum to defend himself!ra2006 wrote:Well remembered, in fact this fight is still on youtube. Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
I have never known price to use his attributes to jab, it should be like a ram rod but his only trait shown so far with it has been paw paw big straight right hand. this was enough to dispose of people to fringe level........but not beyond. price needs to go back to basics, sort out stamina/engine. cant train his whiskers so needs to improve defence /footwork to get himself out of trouble. learn to hold when hurt, learn to take a knee if required, and learn to bloody jab!!IRLangmaid25 wrote:David Price will stop Konstain Airich, he is too big, too powerful and skillful for Airich and he if he uses the bloody jab which he forgot to use against Tony Thompson he will beat Airich.

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
They should have put him in with the Gerber guy who Del Boy stopped. Airich is no challenge for Price (or at least he shouldn`t be)
The guy was on prizefighter a few years back and was awful. Price will learn nothing new after fighting this guy and blowing him out in a round or two. Fair enough, he wants a win to build the confidence, but a lack of hard fights is what caught him out the first time. His stamina was pants in the second Thompson fight.

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
Acceptable - no more, no less. Airich will come to fight no doubt about that. A real hard man, when he has suffered KO defeats they have been proper KO's not any sign of quit.
I would say he is on a par probably with Sprott (when Sprott isn't on form). If he was British I would expect him to be contesting around the fringes of the British title (minus Price, Chisora and Fury).
Should be a decent confidence booster against an opponent who isn't great shakes, but isn't shabby either.

Re: David Price vs Konstantin Airich
I think he's wary of over committing with the jab in fear of being countered. That's the impression I get when watching him.rhino222 wrote:I have never known price to use his attributes to jab, it should be like a ram rod but his only trait shown so far with it has been paw paw big straight right hand. this was enough to dispose of people to fringe level........but not beyond. price needs to go back to basics, sort out stamina/engine. cant train his whiskers so needs to improve defence /footwork to get himself out of trouble. learn to hold when hurt, learn to take a knee if required, and learn to bloody jab!!IRLangmaid25 wrote:David Price will stop Konstain Airich, he is too big, too powerful and skillful for Airich and he if he uses the bloody jab which he forgot to use against Tony Thompson he will beat Airich.
