List of after dinner speaking shows?

Post by lefty »

Is there a website or something that could me up to date with these shows and the different people participating? I'd like to go to more but most of the time I dont even know they're on and until I read about it on here or something! Cheers.

What does George do at this event? Does he stand up and speak about his career? Seems a little odd given he has only had 1 big fight. I'm sure he has plenty of stories to tell but seems odd when you are starting out?

There are some big names that may be coming to these shores during 2014.
If I hear anything I'll post it.
Maybe others in different areas could do likewise.
Just remembered Kevin Sanders has a dinner with Ricky in February in Peterborough.

I thought it was off because if someone was standing up to talk about their career George hasn't really had much of a career unlike Calzaghe. I understand if it is a Q&A would be more interesting. Most people do after dinner speaking events when their career has finished or coming to an end right?

May as well earn a few quid while your active and popular

not many people would fork out to see retired boxers unless there top guys.

Boxers are easily forgotten about once there retired and out the spotlight unless they leave a major mark on the sport

All four dates sold out including Rotherham. In fact Rotherham was the best one.

I heard Witter was meant to be on tonight's show but he got removed due to poor ticket sales...

He would definitely sell in York, probably Leeds as well, couldn't have seen him doing one but things are changing on that front.

Good luck to him, I hope he makes some money from doing the dinners, but, how long will he be able to dine out and talk about 1 fight?

Cheers, just wondered as I live in Wakefield and Featherstone's one of the rougher bits. Wouldn't have described it like that if you'd said you lived there :D

Our school rugby league team got attacked in the changing rooms after the game once. And we lost.
