Question regarding Jack Johnson's opponent McCormick

i wanted to ask the experts. i found an article, dated 1905, where Jim McCormick of Galveston lists all of his fights and states that he beat Johnson twice http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/ ... /seq-2.jp2. He's listed here on boxrec as Jack McCormick from Philly, and not much of his record matches. In the article he states that he made his debut in 1899, date of birth and all the details of his fights.
Im not an expert but I'm fairly sure here's http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer two different McCormick's records combined in one. Jack from Philly who fought with The Sailor twice and Jim who fought with Johnson.

You're correct. I've filtered out the fights belonging to Jim McCormick of Texas. The one from Texas was born John Heimann.
